"It's a well coordinated attack."

What..? Really? Are the Reapers going door to door strangling people with pillows?

I mean, there were about what...100,000 immediate casualties when the nuke was dropped on Hiroshima and that was in the 40s! We're talking about the Reapers here - an ancient, spacefaring, hyper-advanced machine race of synthetics. Is that the best they could do?

A: they want to harvest humanity to create a new Reaper.

B: The casualty report might only be talking about London.

Ok, this has been discussed before, but my belief is that he's talking about London alone when he's mentioning the casualties. 9 million dead in London in one week is a HUGE number.

People also have theories that they're taking it slowly to harvest the humans.

If thats the total casualties then considering the amount of time it would take to wipe out humanity then Shep would have to be a real **** up to not save some humans!

Assuming he is only talking about London, sure, that's epic.

But is he?

That was london alone and they may not be trying to kill us all since they need human smothies to make a new reaper.

It's even more ridiculous if it's only London. So it takes them a WHOLE week to wipe out a single city? Have you seen the size of those things?

And it took the Collectors just minutes to capture an entire colony.

This has already been done... look at the rate 2 mill first day. 7 mill 5 days later. Meaning it every week it multiples by 3.5

24 mill in the 2nd week

85 mill 3rd

nearly 300 mill by the end of the month.

keep adding and the earth will be cleared pretty soon.

But also keep in mind.. their point is to subdue... not to destroy.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight you've extrapolated this from two data points? How do you know it just doesn't add a million deaths a day after day 1?

I wouldn't take anything in that trailer as fact. ME trailers are notoriously misleading in the information they give out.

That has to be the worst logic I have ever seen.

Anybody else hope we dont have some "earth timer" where we only have a certain amount of time to do our thing before earth gets destroyed?

Like I also mentioned in my post, they'd want to harvest us. Make husks and things like that before moving on. I don't really see why this is such a big issue with people? The Reapers are there and no matter how slowly they take it, Earth is still screwed.

and I honestly doubt anyone is criticizing them that they are killing millions of people rather slowly.

Ok, lets say you know 100 people on a familial or very good friend level, boom first day and they're all dead
lets say they each know 100 other people, boom all dead on first day
Your coworkers, assuming they weren't in the 100, all dead
the people at your favorite fast food restaurant, all dead
that uncle you never took the time to get to know, dead
lets say you take the bus, that attractive man/woman who you always wanted to talk to but could never muster up the courage, dead.
Your **** boss, dead
you get on the internet, lets say it is still up.
You go to facebook, if you have more than the first 100 people on your friends list, many of them haven't gotten on since the attack started, or they had frightening status updates, they're dead
next you go to Bioware Social networks, for the first time since Mass Effect came out people aren't b*itching and moaning there, no one is on because they are all dead.
You search the internet to try and find out what is going on, all you get are obituraries and interns filling in because all of the anchors, cameramen, producers, assistants, and make up artists are dead
suddenly, you lose internet connection and a husk is pounding on your door.
you still think the reapers are going too slow?
