Also, FFVXIII does not exist. If you're refering to FFXIV(14) that game was garbage apparently.

FFVXIII = Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

I know 14 is pure garbage.

doublepost:sorry.

back on topic, if about half the people who bought ME2 PS3 (45,000) got an $8 piece of DLC to get the ME1 side quests, bioware would get $360,000. This doesn't factor in how much making the DLC would cost or exactly how many people would buy it, but its a generaly good idea if they can do something about the exclusivity deal.

I would like to steer this back on topic, but it's too far gone.

I'm trying to steer it back on topic, if we make an effort, we can. Seeing as side quests are an important part of the franchise they should consider doing this.

I think that PS3 fans got enough already.

If any move is made to make such sidequests available in the playstation version of the game, i'd hope that they'd make the Terminus armour and blackstorm available to xbox and PC gamers.

@Val Yeah, if the PS3 gets everything (and I hope it does) then so should we.

They probably will in time. its just that since the PS3 version came out recently they decided to add a little thing that was exclusive to make it seem more like a diffinitive version. If you hear that a version has an exclusive feature or potential for one, it slightly boosts sales. Also Bioware just has their mind on the PS3 version.

That'd be one tough DLC to sell, "This pack adds a few references to a game you've never played =D".

First of all, conrad was a full by ME standards sidequest. Also they could call it the sidequest pack. While many complain the PS3 version has doomed ME3 to have little reference to ME1, a little DLC like this would remove the nessecity to decide whoom you are more loyal to, PS3 users who started at 2 or PC/360 users who started at the beginning. The alternative to creating a side quest pack for PS3 would involve splitting your user base, which is never a good idea. Also, people who want the PS3 DLC packs for PC/360, they will come in time, its just that since ME2 PS3 just came out there more focused on the PS3 version right now.

I would say that making a piece of DLC to give the PS3 ME1 sidequests is really important since side quests and choices are two very important elements of the mass effect series. Also stop complaining the PS3 version got everything, they get the game of the year edition a little early. Besides, all of you that complain that its unfair that PC/360 don't get Terminus armor DLC yet don't seem to get that the sidequests are more important than a little bit of armor.

Well, I for one don't think this will ever happen and personally, I don't think it should.  I am just stunned at the amount of people ready to jump off of a bridge because Gianna Parasini isn't in the game or Helena Blake or Fist or Shiala and so on and so on.  These were minor sidequests that have absolutely NO impact on the story or the series going forward.

Is it nice that that's in ME2?  Sure, I thought it was awesome to see that kind of stuff.  That being said, coming from a person that's played through ME1 countless times, I don't think I miss these things at all.  I double dipped and picked up the PS3 version and have enjoyed it thoroughly so far.  If I really want to see these characters carry through that bad, that means another play through of ME1.

I mean really, what are we talking about here?  People that know and love these side quests have ME1 and ME2 on 360 or PC and have double dipped to get the PS3 version.  People that have only a PS3 and haven't played the game before don't know or care about these side quests at all and are missing nothing from their ME2 PS3 experience.

As for decisions from ME1 somehow not being important in ME3 because of the PS3 version, I just don't think that's going to happen.  Just because the comic didn't touch on Faros, doesn't mean that Shepard wasn't there or that it didn't happen.  In the PS3 version the news still talks about things like "Bring Down the Sky".  Just because PS3 only players didn't have a chance to play ME1 doesn't mean that stuff didn't happen.  There's just too much worrying about this kind of stuff.  It's getting support group bad, IMO.

Bump. Honestly, PS3 players are really missing out without Conrad Verner. Isn't the same game without him.

That's a presumptuous claim you have right there. But ultimately I believe that it is wrong. You are claiming that your opinion is fact. Just because you didn't miss these things doesn't mean others don't miss them. You are ultimately forgetting one major detail. You have already played ME and ME2 and already know what you missed. There are a lot of PS3 players who have played the series for the first time and want to experience everything that they can experience. Just because they have no impact on the story does not mean it’s something they don't want to do.

The people that have "double dipped" have already experienced these side-quests and know what they're missing. It doesn't affect them because they have already experienced these side-quests. If the PS3 version received exclusive quests, those 360 and PC players would complain because the PS3 players are experiencing something that they cannot. When you look into it, that is ultimately what this situation is. Only that THESE side-quests are exclusive to the 360 and PC platforms simply because the PS3 players can't play ME and the comic doesn't touch upon all the choices.

I can tolerate exclusive DLC packs. That's business, I get it. But to be locked out of missions that are already programmed in the core game simply because you're playing on the wrong platform is just wrong and unfair. If a 360 or PC player chooses to play ME2 without playing ME and thus missing out on some quests, then okay because that is their choice. As a PS3 only player who doesn't have a PC capable of playing ME or ME2, I want to be able to have that same choice. If I want to play these side quests, then I have to buy the proposed DLC. If I don't, that is my decision. PS3 players should be allowed to have the same choice as 360 and PC players and not be limited simply because they haven't played the first game.

Luckily, i played ME on a friends 360 so i've experienced most of these sidequests and other such things.

However, i own a PS3 and as much as i wanted to get ME and ME2 i wasn't able to, so something like this would appeal to me although i wouldn't want to pay for some sort of checklist. Maybe if they made another free comic or something similar i would get it. The main problem with a checklist would be putting the choice into context, although it wasn't great the interactive comic was useful in providing some knowledge to help you make your choice.

To be honest, i don't see this happening unless theres a huge outcry for it, or if someone like Shiala plays an important part in ME3 (like she becomes a companion) because i don't think Bioware would want to go down the path of having a companion exclusive to 360 and PC but not have them appear on the PS3.

Overall though, i think it would be good though if people new to the series got a chance to decide on the smaller choices, but only the most important ones.

I doubt another comic will happen due to the fact that it takes both time and money for both Bioware and Darkhorse to make. A checklist isn't exactly the greatest of choices as a method for a player to choose what happens due to its simplicity and lack of information. A Q&A would be more appropriate. Have a paragraph or two explain what's going on and then offer the choices. If you want something visual, then perhaps a picture or two can be provided for each scenario. Of course I'm sure that would make the DLC a little more expensive since a artist would have to be paid. If you want a voice to narrate it, then that'll cost even more money which in turn makes the DLC more expensive

Personally, I'm fine with having neither a visual picture or a voice to narrate. That's why I kind of like the datapad idea that was mentioned before. Its nice and simple and something you can access at anytime instead of having gameplay be interrupted to fill this information out. I mean the Q&A would probably be short so visuals or a narrator aren't really needed. And it would make the DLC a little cheaper. But in all honesty, I just don't care how much I have to pay. I just want to be able to experience the full game like the other 360 and PC players.

The only problem with the datapad idea is that it will magically change the game universe while in mid-play. This would have to be something that is implemented early on in the game. Best place to do it is during Sheppard's questioning to see if his memory is intact after his revival. Either Miranda and Jacob can actually ask the questions themselves OR one of them can hand Sheppard a datapad to fill out which then brings up the Q&A

I used to play ME on PC but for reasons I wont go i nto I can't get the DLC on PC so I bought the PS3 version. Also I just wanted to get away from the PC versions crash issues. If everyone is worried the PS3 version will make ME1 decisions not matter, support the DLC so that Bioware doesn't have to sacrifice the ME1 quest relevance.

I say this as a person who played ME1 and loved it, but don't own a Xbox and have a crappy computer, so I am unable to get ME2 on anything other then the PS3:

Even the idea of a simple checklist allowing us to make the appropriate changes is great in my opinion. Another comic would be awesome, but ANYTHING allowing me to add all those smaller (less plot-important) touches of continuity that comes with file transfer is high on my wishlist.

I'd happily pay for that kind of DLC since I love the story and lore of the ME series.

I'd pay for a Conrad dlc. Don't think it'll happen though.

We DID get refund guy though. That's something. :)

And Jacobs wife. But thats not enough.

PSN $8 Sidequests pack: enjoy some of Shepards less well known adventures.

It would be a good marketing base anyway.

I disagree...I think we deserve at least these missions returned as I am a huge fan of Gianna Parasini...**** maker her a companion for ME3 while you're at it AND LOVE INTEREST...but at least seeing the return of Gianna would be nice as I greatly enjoy her character.

And this is why I want this DLC to happen. I love ME2 and want to know what everyone is talking about and see characters I haven't seen yet.
