The second hardest difficulty for me as well... After ME1 i just hate dying (*playes most annoying game over music ever*).

As for ME3, it depends on whether the gameplay is similar to ME2 or not. If it is, then defenitely insanity.

I always start games on their Normal intended difficulty. Then I increase the difficulty if I feel the need after the first time through.

I'll start on Hardcore, and, if the combat system is relatively unchanged, I'll restart on Insanity. If there are major changes, I'll finish the game on Hardcore first.

veteran, play the game enjoy the story learn where all the upgrades and weapon pick ups are, then NG+ insanity all the way.

Hmmm - this is a good question. I don't want to spend too much time focusing on 'staying alive', but I don't want the last game in my all time favourite series to be over too quickly.
