I want to hear the boon, the dalish lands, the mages being free, an elf now being a noble in ferelden.

Also for the dalish clan to gloat about one of their very own saving the world.

I wouldn't mind hearing how Prince Cousland and Queen Anora are going. Other than that I'm fine =P

I want them to say things specific to your Origin. Like expressing surprise that an elf/mage/Dalish/dwarf would save Ferelden and be seen so importantly. It could also provide a culture clash, like if your Warden was an elf, Hawke might wander into the Kirkwall Alienage and hear some elves saying things like "Looks like the Fereldens are really proud of their elven Hero. Looks like all it takes for humans to respect an elf is for one to save their whole bloody kingdom. Typical." Or if humans in Kirkwall are commenting on how funny it is that Fereldens are practically bowing down to groups that they generally see as below them. I hope that Merrill and her clan (especially Marethari if we see her) mention the Dalish Warden with pride (and grief if they had the US ending).

For the Cousland, it could be about how he/she has practically made themselves a monarch, assuming they did so.

:? Awakening is set two years after the blight correct? I remember Nathaniel, who spent most of his life till then in the Free Marches telling the warden, "Aren't you supposed to be 10 feet tall and shooting lightning from your eyes?"
I should suppose that people would have heard about a blight even in Tevinter. Such a thing is not so easily ovrelooked.
Back on topic, I want to se Nathaniel sitting in some bar, hearing from someone about how The Wardens got the Arling of Amaranthyne and how the former Arl and his family was slaughtered, then flying into a rage and storming past Hawke as he comes in.. Or something.. yeah..

Firstly...Awakening is 6 months not two years later. Which Hunt is two years later. Bella the barmaid? all you can get is a kiss unless I seriously missed something awsome. Thirdly, I doubt if an elf warden stoped the blight it would change peoples opinions about elves, know why? Because the last guy who stoped the Fourth Blight, Garahel...was an elf...and guess what? nothing is differnent. You know why nothing changed? because he was doing his job, he did what was expected of him just like your Warden. Unless of course they take the cowards way out with the DR.

People who are praised as heros in the modern military are different. Those people get awarded the Medal of Honor for going above and beyond the call of duty, for doing MORE then their job and they deserve the praise they receive. Your Warden does not do this, because stoping the blight IS their call of duty, it is there job to do so. Therefor there is nothing "special" about what they achieve. Because any person who was in his position would also be capable of doing it. (being a Grey Warden fighting the Archdemon.) A Hero is someone who does something no other person can do, at least without monumentis difficulty. Any Grey Warden can kill the Archdemon, why Alistair is sukzor in DC is beyond me, probably so can actually beat him.

But do you honestly think The Warden would have won without Riordan? of course not, but he is ignored and cast aside like just some guy who was there. Yet victory would have been impossible without him, where is HIS praise, where are statues honoring HIM? There are none, because he simply did his job, he fought the Archdemon. Without him victory was most probably impossible. Yet everyone praises the Warden who sinks the sword in the demons head despite the fact half the work was already done for him by the man history will forget.

Just as far as my choices went and how it made an impact (the major choices, such as the Templar/Mage Circle, who sacrificed themself to the archdemon if any and ruler of Ferelden). It would also be kind of cool to hear your character depending on gender, race, and origin, but not to a lengthy extent.

For example- male city elf

"I heard an elf saved Ferelden from the Archdemon. Haven't had one of those heroes since Garahel"

-female human noble

"Heard a woman saved Ferelden and now she's ruling Ferelden alongside the son of Maric"

But only as rare, random easter eggs or the beginning of the story. To me DA2 is about Hawke and his/her rise to power and Hawke's choices. My Wardens did their time and chapter in Thedas' story, time for others to take the lead.

I wouldnt be suprised if we meet or at least hear about the "Hagard Drunk" that was formerly Alistair. It was stated on the epilouge that he was last seen on a ship leaving denerim. So it wouldnt be a stretch if he end up binge drinking himsellf all the way to Kirkwall Tavern in the next 9 yrs or so.

People keep talking about how it wouldn't make sense for you to hear anything but your Warden is a bit of a celebrity. Sure it might not affect many other countries, but you should hear something about them. Although I wouldn't mind terribly if some of the things they said were exaggerrated cause that is how rumors work. Of course they should know the race and gender of the hero but .... I don't know, I wouldn't be that bad if the gossip was a little off.

What I really don't want is for my character ( who was virtuous) to be referenced by Isabella as being a wildcat in bed. Honestly how would she know? Although, I guess you could chalk it up to her being a liar.

If they talk about all the little things my warden did I think it might detract from the story a bit, especially if said things were done in secret :

Villager1: Did you hear about that Elf Warden, the one who stopped the Blight? Well as I heard it she got a prisoner in Ostagar some food in exchange for a stolen key.
Villager 2: Thats nothing, I heard she brought a widow in Redcliffe her husband's personal effects.
Villager 3: Well I heard that before she was even a Warden she handed over her wedding money to a friend so they wouldn't have to move away.

Those things wouldn't make sense at all (And likely won't be in the game cause that would be a lot of audio recording), but the big things (Rumors for what they are doing now, Big Decisions in the past) totally would.

As for love interests... I might like to hear about how she's living happily ever after with Alistair far from any castle but it isn't necessary and I agree that it wouldn't be common knowledge.

Unless it was one of the plot points used within the game, as a "major" point, or decision made by the player character, then I doubt that the imported save-game will have anything from in DA:O Warden's conversation with Isabella.

Lots of people are bringing up having a foursome with Isabella as something that will carry over, but I seriously doubt it.  You had to be very specific with who was in your party and where your companions friendship bars were at to have that trigger.  All I ever did was talk to her and then fail at the game to learn duelist because my Warden was a mage.  The fact that this meeting could range from trivial to slightly less trivial makes me not see this as being a major decision that would carry over into DA2.

For me, I'd like to see the effect/hear about these things:
-Alive/Dead Warden after Archdemon is killed (this would be mentioned only after the Blight ended...so about the time that refugees start returning to Ferelden)
-Who is King/Queen of Ferelden
-Who is King of Orzammar
-Architect living or dying
-Various rumors about what the Warden is doing (most likely inaccurate)

Beyond that, I don't see any reason for stories about the Warden to be mentioned.  Minor details are either impossible for a random peasant to know, or they're not important enough to be mentioned.  Perhaps your LI could be mentioned somehow, but really most of your companions are either (a) not important enough figures in the world to be mentioned or (B) very secretive or undercover (Being an assassin, Zevran wouldn't walk around openly.  Leliana's situation would be similar.  Morrigan really shouldn't be mentioned at all since not even the Warden knows where the hell she is for a very long time).  The only LI that could really be mentioned is Alistair, and even then only if he's made King.  As far as other companions go, the world of mages isn't very open to society so Wynne would likely not be mentioned.  Oghren is just another dwarf, and he can die in Awakening.  Shale is DLC, so may not even exist.  Sten left the country entirely.

But now I'm getting a bit off topic with the talk about companions.  I guess my main point is, that while these characters contributed greatly to the world, their impact should be shown through the world itself rather than through random conversations by peasants.  Hearing a few mentions here and there would be nice, but I'd much prefer it if I saw some impact from my decisions that stretched beyond gossip.

Edit: It would also be nice to see if the boon I requested actually has an effect.  Obviously it didn't do anything in Awakening as the templars were still chasing after mages (Anders).  The only issue with this is that the boons are for Ferelden, not the Free Marches, so we may not be able to see the effect even if it occurred properly.

Something along the lines of  "Rumor has it the Hero of Ferelden disappeared along with a red haired bard that was said to have accompanied him during the Blight." would be okay.
