You're right.  I'll never understand that.  I find other things far more important.

When I was a PC-only gamer, I didn't understand how important the achievements were, but then I got a PS3 and everything changed...

+1 vote for the Reaper helmet, plus the option to say "I KNOW YOU FEEL THIS" when I punch the Turian council member in the face, while wearing the helmet. Posted Image

Damn, this topic exploded in the time span of two hours. Lol posted this, had stuff to do, came back and bam 27 posts and 420 views lol. Anyway, the reaper helmet would be awesome, but I don't know if that's greater than or equal to BANG BANG BANG PEW PEW PEW PEW! Also, I apologize for not making the link clickable, forgot BSN doesn't auto hyperlink it :/

I must admit, banging and pewing is a great asset. Maybe we just need to simplify and propose something more similar to that or the scarab gun from Halo 2. How about a reaper gun? Shoot an enormous red beam of death out of the machine pistol or something? ;p

I like this idea. It's gotta be something useful and awesome, but something that also could have some comic relief of some type. Though what would be amazing is if they added a cinematic just for the item where Shepard and friends comment on the item and their reactions to it.

How about a scythe? A glowy high-tech Grim Reaper scythe.

That might work for Dragon Age 2, but Mass Effect is a little more focused on ranged... Unless you wanted to shoot out black holes of death from it. Pew pew?

I was thinking more of a biotic ranged slicing effect.

Although it's off-topic, I'll just say it anyways: You don't need to have a game give you achievement trophies to feel like you achieved something.

@Arc.... that could work.

Lets shoot for Dead Space again. Necromorph skin/armor. It even converts all your words into incomprehensible snarls as you run through the game firing a gun from your stomach, using your stomach hands, and slicing through people with your bone scythes.

lol:lol:

Maybe more scenes. Something involving your LI.

I know.  It's good bait to get me to replay a game, though.

As for an Insanity reward, how about Phoenix armor for the whole team?  Strictly for the lulz, of course.

Although i always play on Insanity, i am very much against higher difficulty exclusives.

Difficulty should be a personal choice of what gives you the most enjoyment.

Obviously the DS2 Hand Cannon was a joke mate. It's something that turns a horror shooter into a commedy, not an important item that gives you any advantage over anyone else. Things like this should be in games - any type. And I do think that higher difficulty items (not only joke ones) are a great thing to add. In case you haven't noticed - Mass Effect 2 already had it. There should be more.

Yeah, but I want to be rewarded for playing a difficulty 80% of the people who buy it won't play. The hardest difficulty is always annoying in some way. I can appreciate a challenge, but I'm not going to play the hardest difficulty all the time. Even if you are against it, 99.99% percent of the gaming community isn't. No one wants just a pat on the back for doing the hardest thing in the game.
