BFG.... that is all.

or i feel it would be pretty dam awesome if you unlocked an arcade minigame (i know i posted something similar in another topic, i just really like the idea) called 'Eden Prime' or something, where you basically play as shepard in a 2d shoot em up, and if you finish that you get an ach/trophy, some shiny armor, and possibly a bit of lore/story if possible

I approve of this idea, I'd love that! It'd be epic if every time you played it and saw the highscores a random teammate would beat your score by just a bit. Every time you'd be like "DAMMIT GARRUS!" XD

Win.

You know what we will get ? AWESOME, AMAZING, SUPER ULTRA NICE .....achievement(medal or something) . :D

I would like something that's actually useful in the game. I couldn't care less about achievements.

That's usually how I am with games I don't really care about, but my OCD kicks in with games I love to death. i.e. ME2. :P Not even gonna try with Starcraft 2 though, god, that'd take years. Working on it with Dead Space 2 though.

how about neat Reaper inspired armor and the fun version looks more like a halloween squid costume for kids (or black version of Day of the Tentacle)

Dead Space 2 allows no more than three saves on Hardcore, and there are no checkpoints. It's understandable those who beat it get such a reward.

The Verner Strike. Mark a spot for incoming air support, and eventually Conrad Verner divebombs the site looking for credits, killing everyone in a certain radius.

I am 100% with you mate, but I am afraid there is very small chance we will see something like that

I don't know what you're talking about. I never feel forced to play the harder difficulty, I play it because I WANT the item. It's not like, "OMG I can't play this game right 'till i have this weapon." No. If that' how you think then I must question your sanity. Harder difficulties are, simply put, a chore. I play those to get them out of the way and get the unlock so I can enjoy normal more. This is what happens with Dead Space 2, I WANT to beat it on hard core because I WANT to have more fun with the game after I do it. If you feel forced to play a game then you're doing it wrong.

Thank you for proving my point perfectly.
If harder difficulties are a chore for you, and you only play them for the unlock then they decrease your enjoyment of the game. A chore is something you force yourself to do due to the promise of a reward later, so you are forcing yourself to do it. You just want the hard playthrough out of the way, so you can go back to normal to actually have fun. But why not skip that step? Why not unlock the reward some other way?
Maybe taking every renegade interrupt in the game with the one character unlocks a special "renegade pattern" for your armour that replaces the "N7" symbol with te Renegade symbol and has a unique look?
Maybe if you accidentally kill yourself with the cain then you unlock the "nuke pattern" which has the nuke symbol and a bunch of other stuff?

As I have said before I appreciate the challenge, as you have said you ONLY play on the hardest difficulty. That's not fun at all for 95% of the community, we WANT rewards for doing things we'd rather not have to do. I did not prove your point at all. I specifically stated that most of us don't feel obligated to do it BECAUSE it is a chore. We do it because we want the item. When you can unlock everything just by playing casual, that's not fun. When you play the entire game, all difficulties side quests included, then you have achieved something. If you just constantly playing the hardest difficulty, that's not rewarding. Ok you already play the hardest difficulty, good for you, Bioware and other gaming companies want to encourage others to challenge themselves. I don't know why you keep posting here as all you've been doing is complaining that you don't like how the gaming industry works. Please post on the topic or go away.

You just said you would rather not have to do it.

God, no. How about the ability to punch him in the face whenever you want? I'd probably punch him once for each time i died trying to beat insanity. XD

People are impressed by that? Sure it's funny for about a minute or two, but it gets old really quickly.

I agree.

At first I was iffy about trying hardcore mode, but this unlockable actually makes me less willing.

Topic - IF ME3 has anything from DS2, I'd want a Plasma Saw... IMO, it's only fair.

AHAHAHAHAHAH

bang bang! bang! bang! bang!

if you defeat insanity mode, your melee attack turns into a flying jump kick capable of one shotting scions.

Reaper-Inspired armor seems oddly appropriate... it would be amusing to have robotic tentacles moving around while trying to have a conversation. :P

"Unlock Conrad Verner's face code!"

Bang bang   pew pew pew - thank you for posting that, really made my day! :D

If there were to be any similar reward for ME3, the hardest difficulty really needs to be hard; not like it is at the moment.

not any less weird than killing giant creatures with a foam finger.
