These might be minor things for some people...but playing through DA:O multiple times again, it is really starting to get under my skin.

For the love of god, please give medium, light and mage armor some love in the graphics. It is absolutely annoying to see two different Mage outfits(head/body) and the rest are the same graphics, only different colors. Practically all the light armor looks the same. Medium armor actually looks decent but it is very few in the game. Heavy/Massive armor is really the only cool looking stuff. Why can't the rest get love? This applies to weapons too(especially Mage). Seeing the DA2 trailers, seems like they're giving some love to other armor classifications but how do we know if they'll just recycle the graphics or not again? Hopefully they have some diversity...

Also, DA:O has way too much trash loot for a game that is so linear based and doesn't have much in random properties on its items(like Diablo). The fodder loot would make more sense if it had a random item generator like DIablo, which it doesn't because sometimes even fodder loot can turn into something useful. While I'm the type of person who loots everything in these type of games, it does seem unneccessary and tedious just to make money. Which goes to another gripe I have about inventory management, which is self explanatory on the problems it has. Would be nice to have a quick loot button too, where I can gather everything in the area off the bodies...

Lastly, quest rewards don't seem to be...rewarding enough. You mostly just get money. Where is the epic items from questing? Technically, this isn't a huge problem since you can spend the money on some pretty awesome legendary loot but it does make fetch quest drag on. A lot of the side-questing in DA:O was repetitive and it doesn't help knowing at the end of that quest, all you get is a few pennies completing it. More imaginative questing and rewards would be nice...

I haven't really seen any proof yet that says they are. Can you give me a link? The armor in the trailers looks cool for mages but like I said, how do we know if they'll just recycle the graphics or not? They did in DA:O. Do we have a dev quote that says otherwise? I haven't seen anything on questiong or looting either...

You mean...you don't enjoy equipping four different staffs on a mage and seeing nothing changed?

hahaha, THIS fact is the one reason why I don't understand everyone was in such an uproar about this change. Unless you were playing on the pc and used mods you really didn't have much variety.

That might be why they made it to where companions have set outfits now. But the way they made it sound, didn't make it sound like they had much variety in upgrading their armor. They made it sound like you only get to upgrade their armor a few times over the 10 year period...which isn't cool. Unless I missed something? I know Hawke can equip anything but you can't touch companions armor outside weapons/accessories.

I'm hoping companion armor has a lot of upgradable ability and diversity. It would make sense they'd limit it to that so they can design more armors. Rather than allowing them to equip anything and design armor for a Elf, Dwarf and Human. I can only imagine how much of a nightmare that is getting them to suit the right height. Specific armor on each companion would fix that problem...

They said they're getting rid of the dorky mage hats. However, one piece of concept art for Kirkwall has a mage or a guy... Walking around with a cone-shaped hat on his head. Hrmph.

This is one reason I refused to make a male Mage...

I never wore a cowl/headgear when I was a mage (or any other class for that matter). Hopefully they addressed the headgear. Because they were all silly.

Epic quest items? I don't think so. I see no reason why a those board would give you anything BUT money. There is a fine line between EPIC and Sense when it comes to side quests.

I was the making point the quests need to be more imaginative than they were. I wouldn't mind seeing far less side-quests if it meant the quality and length of them went up. 10 epic side-quests>100 fetch quests.

Those quests were relatively easily and fast, so yea. But if they had longer quests that had more variety, we'd probably be seeing better rewards.

The dull armor has made several appearances in some of the trailers and screenshots, especially ones showing off mage Hawke. I anticipate they'll make a comeback for sure. Or perhaps Bioware is just keeping the cool looking stuff hidden from the public until release.
:P

I swear I will personally bonk every Bioware developer on the head if any piece of "unique" loot, from a boss or chest, ends up being a lazy reskin of mundane looking armor. If a piece of mage clothing is called,"Robes of the Bloodlord," then it HAS to look like something an insidious bloodmage would wear and NOT just a simple mage robe colored red.
:pinched:

I'd like the quest to be more focused. It would be nice to get some side-quests that tie in the lore of world. Get like, a Sacred Ashes type side-quest. Long, drawn out. Maybe answer some questions in the lore but it is totally optional. Only a few of the side-quests were really drawn out and it was usually in the form of DLC, like Warden's Keep. Equally, that quest rewarded you with lore and items. More of that and less of the chantry type missions but not completely eliminated.

Blank Vellums. Why, Bioware? Why?

Haha, I looked for a use with those for I don't know how long. Then I just decided to look at wiki and spoil it. Turns out I was wasting my time and didn't spoil much...

I kept clinging to hope that they'd be used in a quest later in the game. Then by the time I almost reached the end, I had to spoil it on wiki. I can't tell you how many slots Silk Carpets, Blank Vellums and Engraved Bowls took up in my Warden's Keep chest.
