Hey does anyone remember that "small trinket" that the consort
on the citadel gave you after the side mission?
What do you guys think it does? Do you think it will kill the reapers or something?

Thoughts?Image IPB

never mind.....

It opens the door to the bathroom on SR-2.

are you serious? that trinket has a purpose in ME1, which you may or may not find, but it is used in game.

There's an ME1 sidequest on Eletania. If you look around the planet in the Mako you find a Prothean globe (like the one in the Firewalker pack). You can put the trinket inside like a key, and- well, spoilers aren't allowed. Sorry to crush your hopes. Why don't you play ME1 and see for yourself? I thought it was pretty cool.

You use it in the game, Mangeo. It interfaces with a prothean artifact on a certain world with a monkey problem.

Edit: Late.

It activated a prothean relic on an uncharted world in ME1.

It was used in ME1.

I doubt it will have any significance.

It's stored in the savegame data. When you launch the gibbed saves editor there's are two flags, one named [Recived Trinket] and second one [Used Trinket on <planet name>] yet there were no refferences to this in ME2. This means that a) it plays some role in ME3 or B) it was something that BioWare initialy wanted to build on when developed ME1 but dumped it.

Don't thinking it will do anything in me3 as it's unlikely many people actually got it

This is exactly why it should. Everyone's game is different right? The flags are already there, might as well use it. And to OP yes it should kill the reapers.

Lots and lots of people got it.  It's not really all that hard.  You just have to do your side quests(it's a Bioware game do your side quests)  Though I doubt it's likely to have much, (read none) of an impact on ME3.

What about the ps3 players, bioware aren't going to leave them out of the loop, especially if it has role in mass effect 3

That's really kind of up in the air. I don't know if the PS3 players have any way to define choices for ME1. If the answer is no then, they're going to be limited to the default Shepard for ME1 at the start of ME2. Obviously they can define their ME2 choices before going into ME3.

AH! Looks like a good reason to get an Xbox and ME1 (or a PC). I'll stick with the Xbox, sorry Sony.
