I am wondering aloud to you all: Of all the characters in Mass Effect, minus Shepard, and including non-squadmates as well as squadmates, who is your most favorite character?
My vote goes to Mordin. Tali, a close second.
Best Mass Effect character period.

Oh geez. If Tali impressed me half as much in 1 as she did in 2, I'd say Tali. Unfortunately, she didn't and if I'm being this specific that means something. So... ugh. I don't know. I really don't know.

My personal favorite is Liara T'soni, but objectively, I'd have to say the *best* is Ashley Williams.

Mordin for the "best," with Legion as a close second, as both bring nearly the same amount of drama, depth, and food for thought as well as all-out lulz.
Also, I have a thing for Lorik Qui'in.

My favorite character : Miranda.
I like everything from this character. I enjoyed all her lines, her personality, her voice, her looks ... Most of my favorite moments in Mass effect are when this character is present.

Kaidan. Was Kaidan after ME1, is Kaidan while playing ME2 and it will be Kaidan after ME3.
Very hard situation for second fav - at the moment there's a draw between Kasumi and Miranda

Tali with Garrus a close second. Over two games these two were the heart of the story for me. The two friends that always, always have your back. And are glad to have you back.

My favourite: Ash.
The fact she ain't just loved, or hated, she's a mix. People are split on Ash due to her opinions and beliefs.
She ain't viewed as a superhero, people see her as a regular human, some say this is boring, but I disagree. Ash being normal in a game like Mass effect and feeling truly human is unique itself, and that is a big acomplishment for Bioware, and this makes her very interesting to me.
She finds it hard to trust aliens, but yet she hates Cerberus and Terra firma for there extremism and racism, making her a very complex character.
Her relationship with Shep (if romanced) goes at a great steady pace, I didn't once think it's going too fast. And you can actually be friends with her if not romanced or femShep.
She is religous, but she ain't a zealot. I think she use's her faith so she can keep a level head, not have to worry about death (she is a marine, death is around her all the time) and for the hope that she may see her father again one day.
she can recite poetry, I find this very attractive, shes is a tough women, but this shows she ain't just tough, she is also a inteligent women.
She has some mean comebacks, and just some great dialogue throughout. And she sticks to her guns, Horizon, while the scene was annoying, it made her a even greater character.
She ain't a typical women we get in a game, who is basically eye candy for the player, she looks like a normal person, a real female soldier.
She's close to her family, and we learn alot about them from her, this again adds alot of depth to the character
This all and much more, makes her the deepest character in ME (imo) and one of the finest characters I have experienced in a game.
Thanks to Chris L'Etoile for writing such a awsome, and realistic character. I hope whoever writes Ash in ME3 pays close attention to what L'Etoile did with Ash in ME1.

Mordin. The most complex, thought-provoking, and conflicting character BioWare has ever made, as well as being a comedy-fest. So technically, I guess, he's my favorite BioWare character, not necessarily my favorite Mass Effect character.
Liara is second place.

Conrad Verner.
because Bioware rarely produces those highlights with characters they did in the good ol days...
Jan Jansen... Edwin... Xzar... Minsc...
I´d so love for a Jan Jansen sort of character in Me3 =)

I like most of them.
There are some I believe could have been better composed, though.
