Disclaimer: I do not believe in selling, eating or using children as weapons of mass destruction...but it would make for an offensive and rediculously funny game idea.

It's not exactly children, but it'd be interesting if Bioware at some point did something along the lines of Phantasy Star 3, in which the game takes place over the course of several generations, and the protagonist of each chapter depends on who his or her parent married in the last one.
I agree, that would be an excellent idea! And I can't believe you brought up Phantasy Star 3, I had almost forgotten about that one. It was one heck of an innovative feature and no one seems to of tried it since.

Now, if I mentioned something like cannibalising the kids, that would go too far...oh wait...doh!

If this is the sort of thing that interests you, You might find Record of Agarest War to be interesting. The game spans across five generations. Each generation your MC is the child of the previous MC. You get three LI choices for the first four generations and your MC's appearance changes based on the love interest you chose. Stats growths and weapons are determined by all previously chosen LIs and how high their affection was. At the fifth generation there are up to 1296 possible stat growths and weapon combos available for the final MC(although I'm sure there are some repeats).Celtic Latino wrote...
I think for a future title it would be cool if you could have children, and depending on who you have children with determines their stats, etc...,...you either play a sequel, DLC, or another part of the game AS that child (teenaged or grown up of course) or could have him/her in your party. It would be a difficult element to implement, but I think it would be pretty cool, especially if the child looks like your character (to help that, players would have a choice of about six to ten preset faces versus full customization in order to import the genetics system).
Of course it is a tactical JRPG(and a poorly balanced one at that), so if you don't like those then it probably wouldn't appeal to you. Also it is....sort of a pervy game? It just has a lot of innuendo, but the US advertising really played that aspect up more than was necessary making ti seem a lot worse than it was.
That sounds interesting actually. I'd like to see something like that implemented in a Bioware title.

This idea is a horse who is very much dead. I do wonder how many times people mentioned Fable or Sims though. I am not bothered to count.
EDIT: Oh, and the person who started this thread has done a few troll topics before.
"I hold in my hand posts, posts which, uh, posts which show me that the OP of this topic is a TROLL! How can we trust this thread when two of the hundred-plus posts in it are TAINTED in such a way? I address the defendant, have you, BigBlueCar, being of sound mind, ever been a member of the Troll Party? I remind you that you are under oath, Mr Car."
Seriously bro if people are having a discussion it's not up to you to say they can't do it, and if we could keep the ad hominem attacks to a minimum as well please.
Edit: Wasn't the Record of Whatever War game just mentioned like, ridiculously anime and terrible? Like, the limited edition came with a boob-mouse pad or something?

It certainly did have an anime art style(considering it was made in Japan this is hardly unusual), and I wouldn't call it terrible. Poorly balanced certainly. Immature....yes at certain point.
As for the limited edition bit....well to quote myself.
The limited edition was part of that US advertising that I mentioned. x_xIt just has a lot of innuendo, but the US advertising really played that aspect up more than was necessary making ti seem a lot worse than it was.
