List/mention anything from the original game that you hope will not be returning in Dragon Age 2.

Let me kick this off with:

Evil, evil, EVIL giant spiders who like to drop from the ceiling behind my character but within camera view, hissing loudly as they do so, causing me to shriek in surprise; and to top it all of, then they have to crawl all over me during the actual fight! Maker's breath, I hate those things! PLEASE let them be missing from DA2!

This, Origins Fade was very repetive for me. Awakening Fade was ok imho, though.

While I like the dungeons, the really long epic quests within each dungeon without any breaks really got to me. It was almost like grinding in an MMORPG, but on console. Once you get the treaties, you have to beat four very huge, very intricate dungeons. Had there not been party chats or remaining dialouge branches with my current companions, I probably would have lost interest in the game initially because it was just one after the other and I really just wanted to learn more about the story.

THE FADE

We all know it's how it was implemented (blur/gameplay), not the Fade itself that was wrong. The Fade will always exist in DA unless it's retconned (even being ignored will leave it there.) Still, that part was painful after the 50th time. Okay, 5th time was painful.

My list:

- Warden shuffle - (fixed already?)
- Useless items (spirit balm? really? And that's the useful one!)
- More useless than useless items (I will kill someone if I get another blank vellum.)
- Endless generic combat encounters in every combat area (Deep roads and brecilian forest were pretty bad about this.)
- Junk = cash (When you have to click on every enemy you kill to get 4-5 coppers each to buy your 30 gold equipment, everything sloooows down.)

I'm sure I'm missing something, but those are off the top of my head. Combat is great when it's not room after room of the same thing in a row, and "roleplaying" doesn't require looting every stinking corpse for an extra blank vellum.

He was the guy fighting with Darth Vader that you get to choose who to help. If you chose Shepard, you got a gun, Darth Vader, a lightsaber.

Dialogue, a 8+ hour campaign, an inventory, leveling up and any other useless "rpg" game type things.

@Nimpe: Sounds like a trippy sidequest.

I hoping they don't have any frakking lockpickable chests before you have a rogue in your party that you can give lockpicking to. Seriously, why the heck were there lockpick chests in a mage origin? there is no way to get someone to pick those chests... absurd

That was the only origin without locked chests for rogues (except maybe the part with Lily.) But Ostagar was terrible in that respect.

New list item:
- Loot *every* chest for blank vellum, a dozen times per area, with alternate skins for the vellum in each area.

Definitely the "I Just Soiled Myself, Let's Go Kill That Guy" combat shuffle. But from what I've seen I'm pretty confident this won't be an issue anymore.

It's a joke coupled with an awesome screen from an awesome mod.

But now we must add that quest to Origins. With a mod.

Yeah, the fade felt like a long grind to reach forms you can transform into so you could eliminate those lower fade demons that blocked access to the other areas such as your friends to the main demon that put you to sleep. It was a bit of pain to play that every play through, the awakenings one was tolerable because it was short for me.

Really when a creature did some kind of grab and wouldn't let go until I died, it was the only time I felt cheated while playing.
