Hey forum. I've taken it upon myself to add some custom models to a potential module. I've been modifying 2da's and creating hakpaks in order to handle all the changes. Luckily for me the models in question came with pre-written 2da information (aka no writing! copypaste ftw). Unfortunately I don't think all the models were included in those prewritten 2da's.

I have the banners(wing model) working and two placeables. There are a large assortment of weapons which I don't believe I've 2da'ed nor do I necessarily know how.

:( I've hit a road block. I "think" the baseitem.2da needs strefs to recognize the models for the weapons. It's just a huge block of models, not exactly user friendly to a first-timer on this.

Any suggestions? Tutorials? Help is appreciated.

Just a clarification. The models are stored by folder.
Example WH40K/Melee/ChainSword/... with a .tga file and a .mdl file.

I took all of the files like this from each folder. Multiple .mdl, .tga and .dds and stuffed it into a single new hakpak. I then opened up the two text documents in the original download zip.

It's "Placeable 2DA Lines.txt" and "Wings 2DA Lines.txt" I opened these up in textpad and replaced the Placables2da and Wings2da with the prewritten lines in the CEP2_Top_V23 and saved it.

After loading up my module with all the hakpaks activated I can access the wing models I used and the placeable models. However, the models for armor and weapons (which I don't think I defined in a 2da above) are not showing up. In the placeables list they do show up, but it says there is no model for them. I've tried moving all of the hakpak files above (models, tga, mdl, dds) to the override folder as well.

Thoughts?

I don't do merging but it sounds like you're on the right track.  If you can't get it working they're supposed to be compatible with this set of haks, I believe.  DH = Dark Horizon

Thank you for the response. I'm looking at them now and I believe I can work with that.
