So I've been looking around for any info on midnight releases for Dragon Age on Nov.2nd/3rd but have been turing up nothing. So I'm thinking of heading to Wallyworld at midnight and seeing if I can purchase the game there. I don't have much experience with Walmart and don't know when they get new inventory and how stocked they are on video games, so does anyone know if this is a viable idea?
Walmart midnight purchase?

Best bet is to call the Electronic Dept. at whatever Walmart you hope to midnight purchase at and see if it will be available. I know they have sold games at midnight before, (Halo 2 + 3) but this may be independent to each Walmart.
Good luck!

Yeah, many 24 hour Wal-marts have like 5 people working in the store past 11 pm so there might no be anyone there who would know where to find it if it isn't on the shelf. Best to talk to someone in electronics so they could even hold it someplace for you to pick up at 12am.

I was at my local Supercenter the other day, browsing the PC software area and saw a lady in the process of stocking new PC games. I went up and asked her when they typically stocked new releases, and the reply was, "We stock all new releases roughly at midnight on the day of release."
However, Dragon Age on walmart.com says it's not available in stores or for in-store pickup right now, which is a bit of a concern. I'm not sure if that's their way of saying it's not released yet, or just that they have no plans to carry it at all at this point.
Regardless, I figure it's worth checking out on release day if you haven't pre-ordered someplace else, since that's probably the earliest you can get it on Tuesday if they end up carrying it.

I don't know how other walmarts do it, but I work at one in IL, and we put all new release games out at midnight day of release. I know my store is getting da:o, and I will personally be putting it on the shelves shortly after midnight.
I'd call shortly before midnight and ask for electronics and have someone verify that it's there and if they haven't put it out when you get there, someone will go into the back and find it for you.

I have gotten lucky before, I wouldn't expect them to be standing there waiting to stock it on the shelf at exactly midnight though. Also, at least the Walmart near me seems to be pretty good about console games, it takes a couple days for PC titles to go up, for whatever reason.
