Hi, so I used an old version of coalesced.ini that I found off of google and didn't really look into the whole "if you use the all research/upgrade your ship upgrades wont count" thing.

There was apparently a fix for it that was posted on http://social.biowar...06/index/869923 but that mediafile is no longer there. Can somebody help me with fixing my ship upgrade problem? I'm at the point where I'm just about to jump into omega relay.

Restore your coalesced.ini file to its orginal, or post in one of the modding threads. This is tech support for the standard, unmodded game, Nothign we can do to help as we dont know what is contanied in the modded files.

Restoring the original file does not fix it. The binding had the following commands involved "setintbyname Tec_ShipArmor 1 | setintbyname Tec_ShipGun 1 | setintbyname Tec_ShipShield 1" involved, which caused the game to think that it upgraded the ship even though it didn't, resulting in members of my crew dying when they try to go in and save the rest of the crew members on the collector ship. I just need to know if anybody has a fix for it because I know it's on the internet somewhere I just can't find it.

You have downloaded a random file from the 'net, installed it, and its broken your game. This is not a tech support issue. You can either restore the file back to original and restart the game to fix it, or you can post in one of the modding forums and hope one of the modders has a fix for it.

Thing is it won't let me post in the modding forums for some reason, can you help me out?

No. I dont waste any of my time trying to sort out other peoples mod problems, especially when I have nothing to do with that mod.

Besides which, you havent registered your game on the forum. I dont waste my time dealing with issues on copies I dont even know are legit in the first place.
