 Hey everyone,

I was thinking about the old days, and thought of Baldur's gate. and remembered how great it was, so I ordered the box set with all 4 games. I have installed BG1 and the expansion, patched it with the official patch only (BGTalesUS5512) but when I try to change areas, it asks me to insert CD (x) If I swap between the bg disk and the expansion disk, it works sometimes, but this is really annoying... any fixes for this problem?

thanks for the help in advance.

Have you done a full install or recommend install? In the old days (way before the harddisk were up 500 GB), you could choose between a minumum install and full install...

Have you tried patching it? As as far I know, you still have to patch the games from the 4 in 1 box..

The patch should be available at sorcerers place, I think. If you have Vista or Windows 7, you'll need to create a folder like C://games/bioware and tell the game that you want to have the game placed here.

Have you tried the English patch? Not the US patch - as I recall, the 4 in 1 box sex of this game were mainly sold in Europe....

Yes it needs the patch.

It also asks for cd1 the first time you play, after that cd6 (expansion) should be all that is required.
