Hi guys, I just finished the game for the first time, and man what a bloodbath.  I lost 7 team members.  It seemed like it was just Jacob, Miranda and Shephard survived.  It kind of sets the stage for the whole "final fight for the galaxy and the cost will be high" vibe.  I'll probably play through again and try and save more people.

Anyways, just wanted to share.

I kid, the game does have an amazing finale. With only 3 survivors this really was a suicide mission! I would keep this play though just to see how it fares when ME3 comes along. A second playthough is a must with BioWare games.

So who died and how'd they bite the bullet? I lost Jack because I never had the Paragon/Renegade score necessary to patch things up with her after having to side with Miranda on something. (Did Jack's loyalty mission last and paid the price since required scores go up over time.)

I got the everyone survives ending the first playthrough. Since then, I've let people die for the hell of it. lol

Brilliant, and while you will replay for best ending. Maybe you should keep that file so you can see what effects it as on ME3!

Some, or perhaps a lot, of this is often due to rushing through the story. It kinda grabs you and drags you in, and the next thing you know its 12 hours later and its over....and there about a million sidequests and such that you never did. Its insidious.

I didn't kill anyone off my first playthrough, but probably because Jack and Mordin were my regular team and I made choices that made sense (Garrus was a good leader, let him lead the team, Kasumi was stealthy, so let her sneak back to save the crew, Tali was techy so let her though the vents, Samara was a biotic, let her bio it up.

I managed to hold off until I completed literally everything sans LOTSB. So I was actually unable to see the negative results of taking my time with the crew's lives at stake, hah.

I've never lost anyone, but i'm sure you'll save them all a second time and there are always guides if you want to get that achievement.

I lost two. Mordin because I didn't send him back and Legion took a missile to the face. I'm gonna load up a pre-suicide mission and pick the right people. I did spend all that time working on their loyalty.

First time i lost tali zaeed jacob and samara but on my second go noone died

You forget to recruit someone or did you sell Legion to Cerberus?
