I like my mages without pointy hats... Though I'd take a pointy hat over the weird headgear mages had in DAO...

Some more variety than in DA:O would be nice. The robes looked pretty good but too many were similar in style, especially with the fur shoulderpads being on over half the robes in the game.



Robes that looked a bit more battle ready would be nice. I also wish mages could use swords but...that's not happening apparently. The occaisional pointy hat would be nice as well, heck, just a bunch of variety is always nice so the look of our characters isn't too pigeonholed.

I personally friggin hate the Gandalf/wizard/witch look, so I'm glad they're not going that direction. It's like a huge arrow pointing to you that shouts "HEY TEMPLARS, APOSTATE HERE NEENER NEENER".

So does the big "I'm a mage!" sign we put on our necks but you don't see anyone complaining about those, do you Yuki?

I'd actually like to see some sort of resemblance to Kanbei Kuroda of SW3.

Mages with muscles and no Tevinter feathers on their shoulders! [Edit: I actually still think Mage Overcoats that have some of similarity to Kanbei's there would truly be awesome. But a guy can only dream.]

As a half-asian meself, I am already annoyed(sorta) with anime-oversized swords that were in Origins and it seems that we will get more of those 'fancy naruto moves' in DA2 too.

TBH Morrigan's robes, Flemeth's new robes, and Hawke's mage gear are all pretty badass. But definitely proper traditional hoods/cowls over the silly feather tipped headsocks. Not a fan of pointed hats either.

Im hoping, perhaps in vain, that the rest of the armour/robes will look as cool as the robes we've seen Hawke wearing already. Otherwise I may end up spending the entire game in them.

I like these two concepts from D3 and TW2. Iv'e never been a big fan of the mage robes in DA, although I think they look a little better in DA2.

looking at the hawke mage build in trailer and gameplay it looks like mage's can wear pieces of armor types
