I agree. If they released a CC I would be so happy! The CC for Origins was a lot of fun to play around with.

With the overhaul of the combat, I figure that's a more important feature to show off for potential customers.

Agreed. I hope they release a demo like Mass Effect 2 one that includes both a character creator and a couple of missions (preferably the prologue). That way, everyone would be happy.

@OP - You're welcome.  I was thinking about creating a new topic about this after my original comment, but before I could come to a decision, had to take my pa to the airport. Now, with this as its own thread, it's more likely to be seen by a dev. Good on you!

I'm still not 100% sure what this "demo" is referring to, but I'd like to think it's the demo that folks got to play at conventions and such. Maker knows I'd spend more time customising my fem!Hawke than playing the game, though.  Can't wait to find out what it really means. I can say I'd be disappointed if it turns out to be just a misunderstanding, similar to a German mag that said Fenris was a "Force Mage." Hopefully the devs will be able to shed some light. *gets all excited and does her own version of Anders' Spicy Shimmy. Tu-tu, tu-tu, de toot-to-doot, do-dee-do toot.

That guy on the GameSpot forum also cut the email address...why didn't he post the hole thing, painting his personal email for security of course.



The devs might not respond because it is Sunday. Or they just don't feel like responding...There have been numerous threads concerning important subjects where they did not say a word.

heh, the best solution would obviously be to do what they did with the ME2 demo and release the cc + a mission or two. Everybody wins

If this is real, then why would BioWare come and confirm this before it happened? That kind of goes against something being a "surprise".

...Most likely because it was likely a mistake on the end of the Danish and Norweigan EA offices? If it had happened in North America, then I'm sure they would be asking the same thing.

Now if it is a demo, or a character creator how long til people come to the forums to complain that all their fears have be realized? I give it five minutes.

Thing is, if its a demo, the graphics will likely be scaled back from what you'd have in the full release to make the file size smaller. And if there is a PC version, you'll probably have limited graphics options and likely no DX11 features.

Maybe not though.
