EA did pretty much confirm the demo, just EA Europe (Denmark, whatever) so quit the whinging. That it obviously got sent out accidentally is irrelevant.  

Well not really, if people are blaming OP for misleading others. Jonah didn't send out the email and there's no way to know if he has any connection to the post at gamespot. 

If there's any community backlash here it's the responsibility of EA for circulating email prematurely

It's not one post, it's many people who have long histories of posting here and other places confirming the email.  This would be one of the most elaborately staged hoaxes of all times if it wasn't true. Occam's Razor and all that.

IT IS CONFIRMED by EA Europe.  Accidentally for sure but it's an official source none the less.  The can always backpedal of course but I don't see it happening.

I personally don't think the email is even real. You know how easy it is to hoax an email? Pretty damn easy.

Here's my hypothesis: DA 2 was announced with this new combat system.

Everyone started complaining that their toilets wouldn't flush since they all sh*t a brick.

EA thinks, "Oh no, will people not buy it because of this?"

Bioware says, "Why don't we just tell everyone its the same?"

Plan fails, not everyone believes them.

Bioware says, "Okay, let's give them a demo so they'll know it is still Dragon Age."

I'm shocked that you do not know the correct grammatical ratio.  It's three exclamation points to two question marks, unless one of the the exclamation points is a 1.  Then it's five to three.

As for capitalization, I favor the initial character for these sorts of threads but either all or nothing for the rest of the title.

On topic, I don't think I'd play a demo this close to release unless it was confirmed to be a little non-spoiler bit.  I want to do what I did the first time I played DA:O: run through at warp speed, repeatedly saying, "WTF?", wailing, "NOOOOOOO!" at the end, and immediately starting another run because I was going to be queen, damnit.  I'd much rather have another character creator.
