I think it'll be the PAX demo. You get to choose male or female of each class and play up to Flemeth.

My guess is that we will get the demo almost exactly as it existed at the conventions. That is the later incarnations with male and female customizable Hawkes of all classes.

If I had to take a stab at it and guess (which I do) I'd guess its the very first part of the game were you can play. The part were Varric embelishes the story to Cassandra.

Who knows how long that'll be though.

Naw now that I think about it.  My money is on we get the CC and the opening Demo they first showed of the game.  Namely Verrics over the top darkspwn slaying.  Then when Flemith shows up we get cut off.

The thing is, the demo at the conventions- didn't it basically open up where you start as default exaggerated Hawke, play through that, then enter character creation once you get to Varric and then go through the "real" version of events? Would they release that whole bit as a demo? Seems like quite a bit.

I can see that happening.  I do think it would be a total lost opportunity if we couldn't take our CHawk and put it into a saveslot in DA2, though.

 i would actually love this. good sense of the combat, and a chance to form a little bit more of a connection with Carvar and Bethany before one of em eats ogre foot

I'm hoping for character creator mostly, I don't care what part of the demo they give us. I will play it, and enjoy it. As long as they let me be a Mage, and save my characters appearance for the actual game.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up for a demo - just in case this actually does end up being a huge mistake that results in the mysterious disappearance of some unlucky BioWare employee, but if we do get something I'll be happy regardless of the content, I just want to get a feel for the game.
