I wouldn't exactly say that stating the truth would be "elitist." Simply put, DAO was a much better game for the PC than it was for the consoles. From most accounts, the console controls weren't exactly intuitive, and the graphical display capabilities of PC vs consoles is a no-contest, especially with the new DX 11 coming out. Consequently, I think it's safe to say, that at least half the Dragon Age fanbase consists of PC gamers. With that said, it simply doesn't make sense to release a demo that excludes the PC platform. (Not to start another consoles vs PC war or anything).

As someone who used to game solely on XBox 360 I will step up and agree here, it wasn't until I tried DA:O on PC that I realized just how craptastic it was on console.  The gameplay is much more entertaining and the graphics are leagues better...just personal observation.

Ahem... topic... um...I've got nothing.

In terms of PC, I wonder if any modders will be able to crack this apparent demo before game release. ("Crack" in terms of "figure out", or "Get into" whether it is with the toolset or something else. Not the other one you dirty pirates.) If so will that speed up DAII mods?

We've been over this. The images link back to EA.com domain. You can view the newsletter in a browser, the URL is a couple pages ago in this thread. It's as legit as it can be without an official nod.

How often does David come in and tell us not to get worked up over nothing, or explains to us the many ways that errors we come across aren't true rumors? It wouldn't make sense to say 'keep talking,' when he could have easily said 'fake as hell'.

He just doesn't want an official confirmation spoiling their official reveal. Which is good. It's better to be surprised with these kinds of things.

Well, while I agree that this is likely NOT a hoax, using Gaider as an example is not a good idea. He could just be buttering us up so he can squeeze moar precious tears out of us later, I mean, he does live off them after all.

This. Ignorance is bliss, so if you don't know what you're missing, then playing it on the console is perfectly tolerable. Otherwise it becomes clear pretty quickly that the PC version was miles ahead.
