True, and all the EA demos as of late have not been available on the PC. Should DA2 have a demo and they don't release it on PC, what a s***storm that will be.

It could be that they simply announce a demo on Tuesday, but not release the actual demo. It would seem a bit odd to me to just secretly release a demo with next to zero fanfare or hype. But then again, thats how they announced DA2 as well, just leaving one tweet the night before and letting Game Informer spill the beans the next day.


I am almost certain they would release it on PC as well. It wouldn't make sense if they didn't. Plus the forums would explode with outrage and disgust. The demo would be console oriented, no doubt, but its still better than nothing.

But those are the easy things for the QA teams to find, especially those from the big devs like BioWare. The things developers typically rely on the community to track down are things that require various combinations to pop up, bugs and crashes in out of place situations, balance problems throughout the game etc. Demos really don't have a purpose in bug hunting.


Concerning content you're right but concerning the engine working with millions of different combinations with PC hardware it can be bug hunting!

That wasn't a promise, the slate with the date 2/1/2011 was shipped with DAO. Bet your arse this was probably the plan all along.

I would burst if this happened to be real, ive been waiting for the game to come out since after awakening. I think if Jesus wanted to play through one game before the past supper it would be DA 2

I know this, I just said I hoped they'd use the feedback from the demo to fix the game before release. Hell it might not even be bugs, but gameplay inbalance or whatever. Anything to polish the game basically.

But you're right, that is not the purpose of demos.

I really doubt it was intended for the norwegian and danish departments to get this exclusive though :P

Yeah it's disgusting, but luckily Bioware have proven to support PC with ME,ME2 and DAO as of late, so I have no doubt in my mind they'll continue this trend =]
