I don't think it's a conspiracy theory, if this were a hoax David Gaider would have killed the thread dead last night since it looks very legit and it would be posing as official communication from EA. I think they would be very eager to squash such shenanigans if they were unsubstantiated.

Would be pretty stupid to have it only for consoles...

Anyone remember the Bioware Bazzar thing from last year? They advertised for it and in the end it was 'owh yeah, did we mention it is US-only?'. The community went totally crazy (for good reason) with all the 'I used to be part of the community...' signatures.
Releasing a demo only for the consoles is practically the same thing, especially since the flyer was also added to the PC-versions of Awakening IIRC.

A demo would be great, I would even be happy with just a char gen try-out or something like that.

yeah but I added more to my post to explain why I don't think that's the case. I don't think someone posting faked newsletters from the parent company with the intent of stirring up trouble on the forums would be something anyone from Bioware would be either allowed or inclined to let slide, since it is potentially detrimental to their brand

Stuff like this always seems to leak in other countries first, Ser Issac's Armor in Russia (which people said "couldn't possibly happen"), the Amulet of Ashes I think was another one (I know there was at least one more item leaked for Dragon Age II before Issac's armor), and now a demo.

go back to the main page, find the thread, then click the blue Bioware text underneath. that will show only the original post and all posts from users with Bioware tags, which is so far only David's post

Press the blue "Bioware" sticker on the thread name in the forum board

Hi everyone, im actually the one to upload that picture. As you can see its a screenie from my mail.

This morning EA removed the "Demo ude nu" from the picture, its a html based mail.

So apparantly EA did take notice of this thread.
