Am I the only one who thinks David's very post in this thread is proof that we're getting a playable demo tomorrow?

You're definitely not the only one. I think most of us are pretty convinced of this by now...

"Why do people feel the need to fill half a page with spacing?"
So you just quoted the post to illustrate this?
It's better than the old wall of text posts.

You obviously missed the post before it was edited, with around 5 spaces between each line of text, while I do not like a wall of text, scrolling past a lot of nothing can be just as annoying.

It would be funny if the demo only turned out to be the character creator.

Why would it be? That's still technically a demo.

A character creator is still better than nothing!

Ah, another thread full of wild speculation, crackpot stories and bathroom gossip. How i love them ^_^

Though i would be lying if i said i wasn't excited too :o

To add some more water ot the mill, if Bioware/EA were not planning anything for tomorrow i'd suspect they'd just had said so ;)

It's very possible, and it would be fine by me...the only thing I'd miss in that case would be an opportunity to hear Lady Hawke's voice.  That's the one thing I'm really looking forward to, if there is indeed a demo coming.

I'm a moderator on the forums for a popular online browser based RPG (large British company, not a silly small thing) and whilst we have private forums to communicate with the developers, we don't get any inside information. Only when it relates to the forums and thusly would impact our moderator job.

BioWare could very well treat their mods differently.

Back on thread topic:

I'll likely go insane before tomorrow. It would be amazing if this was part of the LadyHawke reveal a lot of us have been waiting for.

Upsetshorts....the only aspect that is deliberate is the shortening of the game.Regardless of your opinion this is a fact. They also have made no secret of the fact the focus is on console market.

I say it would be corporate suicide to release a game for demo/beta knowing it will have a negative impact on sales....the game is streamlined and lacking depth .I don't need to have played it to make this observation.

35 hours is a big giveaway...like it or not.

They will be no demo/beta....and if there is and there's a mass sign up you can come on here and ridicule me.

Till then you're just another forumite bootlicker

Ok guys I admit it I learned photoshop, three foreign languages and read "A Dummies Guide to Hacking" just so I could mock up those photos, insert them into the newsletter and put them on EA's official server.

And I would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

I don't think that'll be necessary, you're doing a pretty good job of it on your own.

Not to turn this into an all out debate but 99% of the time they provide a redirect link when closing a duplicate thread. Woo, Priestly, and Javier always provide one. I think Gaider does too but he doesn't do much thread locking.

I wouldn't necessarily call it "wild speculation". We have enough to go on that makes a pretty strong case towards a demo of sorts being released.

Funny...5 games and 5 forums have shown me to be correct...

Trouble with forum bootkissers is that they invariably sculk off post-release.

Garner the available information and arrive at a conclusion...negative in my case.

That shouldn't give anyone licence to hurl faeces....lets see what the coming days bring and see who's right or wrong.

You know what? Demo does not = hurt sales. I know at least 5 people who bought ME2 after playing the demo because they thought it was bad ass. The game was not made shorter to spite you either regardless of what you might think. They simply made a different game. idk about you but 35 hours is more then enough for me...considering most of DAO's 60+ hours is just meaningless mob killing and I don't really see a problem.

The fact the game is shorter means they can put more focus on story and not pad the game with pointless mobs. I also find it highly doubtful that you or any of the other "RPG Purists" or whatever you call yourselves these days...can honestly say you would play the same copy and pasted game over and over till the end of time. Jesus I know if they made DA2 exactly the same I would probably avoid DA3 out of fear it would me the same crap in a different setting.

Where'd you get yours?  I'd like to pick one up.  Having official permission to be a ****** on a forum could prove very useful indeed, it seems to be serving you very well.

Sad fact is they shouldn't be locking any threads that don't contravene rules whcih is a major gripe .

It's a public forum and people should be free to discuss anything game related......age of threads  are  irrelevant if they remain relevant. !!
