Unfortunately EA is the one signing BioWare's paycheck so not sure how much influence they actually have.

Are they really though? I'm not sure how this works, but I was under the impression that EA provides marketing and distribution of the game and obviously gets X% of the money from games sold, rest goes to Bioware, so in a way, Bioware isn't that dependant on EA, and even then there's a couple of other studious that would do dirty dirty things to get Bioware on their team.

I am trying to do both, but the priority list right now is heavily slanted towards the obsessively refreshing this thread job.Image IPB

EA owns BioWare outright, they bought them (And Pandemic Studios which EA killed off a few years back) from an invesment firm BioWare sold majority to.

Mass Effect 2 had a demo a month before release. Both the original release and the PS3 version. Different game, different team, I know. But the same studio. The point is there's already a precedent. It doesn't look like BioWare is to opposed to doing demos to me!

Yup, just look at their logo:

BioWare is just another division of EA, not some independent studio.

The demo for ME2 came out several months after the game released. I recall they had a demo of BG2 I think, but can't recall if that came out before or after the game released. Point being, BioWare traditionally does not release demos of their games, especially not pre release.

At least you have 3 weeks, I have a book of 150 diagrams worth 50% of my final due tomorrow (with only 120 diagrams being complete as of now.)

On the sunny side though, I don't have to worry about the demo interfering with me finishing this, because it will be due before the possible release. Image IPB

Oh, I didn't realize that.

I still think it's a demo. i mean how many more people need to get that news letter before it's basically confirmed?
