Nobody would expect a BioWare demo, at least not before the game's release. I think ME2's PS3 demo bolstered sales, so they probably want to do the same.

Different situation, though. It was a demo for a game already out for a year, on a different platform but still. They could afford the time for a demo, DA2 on the other hand is on a very tight schedule. And they knew reception would be overwhelmingly positive given the many game of the year 2010 nominations.

Not saying there won't be a DA2 demo...

To be fair, I keep checking back when I'm in lessons :') Its rather bad. Whenever I'm doing "questions out of the textbook" or "drawing diagrams on PowerPoint" I'm really prowling the forums for hope of a demo confirmation

I'm almost more excited for the potential meltdown than I am for the potential demo... almost.

But meh ..I would welcome it so.



Then after it gets dumped on by console maybe we might see Bioware retain DA as a tactical rpg not a dumbed down hack n slash fest.

Nor in the UK, but I will remain hopeful that someone from Bioware remembers their Australasian heritage or something. Because at the moment, I'm expecting for whatever it is to not be released until late PST tomorrow, and then I won't be able to enjoy it until Wednesday. And I am busy Wednesday.

If they only released it for one platform, I think it would make sense to release it on one of the consoles. DAO apparently had some series issues on the console, and having a DA2 demo out to show that its much improved would probably increase sales more than having a PC demo instead.

Of course we'll see that...because DA2 IS a tactical rpg, pessimists simply don't want to acknowledge that.

Indeed...since consoles are in fact the larger market it would only make sense.
