Our tech team are going to be doing some technical updating to the Dragon Age Origins/ Social site interaction. As such, services such as screenshots and updates to your player profile will be off-line tomorrow February 1 from 2:00 am until approximately 4:00 anm PST.

Oh, maybe a *insert hopeful face here* fix to the phantom screenshot issue.  Go Tech Team!

I'd be very surprised if there was a demo tomorrow. Most demo announcements typically are made weeks before the demo is released.

Well seing as Bioware is taking the out of the blue approach on everything about DA2 marketing campaign this demo  might as well be released after all.

Well some said that the official newsletter looked the same as the "fake" one, but it has been modified in the meantime to hide the traces.

I hold to my opnion that this might be fake. If it's not, then great, we'll have tons of fun!

I really don't want to play the first hour of a game, eager to move onto the next part, before seeing that it is a demo with a huge "Pre-order NOW!" sign on it.

A character creator, or some sort of prequel mini-game would be nice.

It's kinda cute to see people going "lalalalala" and doubling down on a snowballs chance in hell just for the potential to go "I told you so."



The only reason a demo won't come out or be announced on the first at this point is because Bioware/EA is taking it's ball and going home(very unlikely) or something will happen with the servers/file.

If there's no demo, then what the heck does that 02.01.11 pamphlet with the dragon mean?  A social network site update? 

The update has to be for something, my bet is making all the DA2 forums and the possibility of adding DA2 to your social account WITH a official demo discussion thread.

Nobody would expect a BioWare demo, at least not before the game's release. I think ME2's PS3 demo bolstered sales, so they probably want to do the same.

Also, Devs tend to stay away from posts if there is information they aren't allowed to release. Like the fact there is a demo coming out.

Bless Laidlaw for at least telling us that....I can rest easy knowing more is coming in due time...

judging by the fact that only David has posted (and that was only to tell people to stop spam)  and this topic hasnt been closed or locked its  either the bioware coffee machine has run out of fans tears to run on or they are  planning somthing....somthing big (like a demo) but anyway its around 17 hours till demos get reasled on XBL so we will have to wait................................................................................................................... (what sucks more il probly be in hospital tommorw..... so i wont know what  happens)

I read somewhere that Feb. 1 was their original release date - being that DAO had a pic of the dragon showing only one wing (side view) and the card that came out with DAA had a face on pic of the dragon showing two wings, therefore the speculation was it meant DA2 coming Feb. 1......obviously this was never confirmed though....
