Quickly and quietly shopped photos made 15 hours later. No official acknowledgment of said changes

Server maintenance on on the character creator and updater servers. You know the things that were used for the last demo we had.

No formal denial common to threads where baseless and potentially harmful speculation occurs.

More that I am surely forgetting.

It's true that the devs usually came in when wrong information got out ("Fenris is a mage" for example) and at least told us to "take everything with a grain of salt".

Unfortunetly most of the doubters have a serious case of LMGTFY syndrome.  Can't do their own basic research so say it doesn't exist when it's been discussed to death.

We have established quite some time ago in this thread that the newsletter was real as it was on the offical EA website but it was later edited and the ''demo out now'' was no longer present

1. They sent this letter to their subscribers,but realised it later. Most likely, they wanted to send it away the next day, e.g 1st February...

2. They sent it with full awarness, but then realised they can't launch it.

I do remember in a post couple of months ago Chris Priestly said something along the lines of "Feb 1 will be a happy day for DA fans" so maybe it is a demo?

Don't get me wrong I'd love a demo. My raging impatience would fall to its knees and weep over a demo.
But the fallout from not getting a demo now would be just as entertaining.

depends what part of USA/Canada. in Edmonton, bioware HQ, it's just about 1:00pm, or 13:00 if you're one of those 24 hour clock folks.
