The demo is a scam. There is a thread in RPG watch

www.rpgwatch.com/#16652

They compared the origin version of the newsletter with the scam.

I wonder how much Europeans there are in the forum....

One here.

Oh come on, stop it. Everyone knows there's only 11 europeans on these forums anyway, stop embarresing us.

Doubt I'm counted in that 11 XD. Unless you don't count Brits?

Anyway, I doubt I'll stay up for the reveal. I have work tomorrow, though I'm doing my work at the moment while I wait, probably sleep around 1 am.

So, any official word yet about the demo? Or a date for releasing a possible demo. Or a official post that tell us that will never gonna be a demo for DA2 ? Haa ?

Yes, Someone totally hacked the EA servers and put the false line DEMO out now in the banner and sent it out to cause mass confusion, it just happened to coincide with a date Bioware has been hinting at since awakening.

Bioware themselves then posts in this thread but doesn't lock it.

Yeah right.

Someone mentioned something about the Bioware website being down due to updates on the page or something? What's that about? The thread is moving so fast I can't keep up.

Even if it is a scam no one really knows what's going to happen tomorrow. The fact that Bioware hasn't denied anything makes me think that there could still be a demo ;)

Or EA themselves realised they dropped the ball to soon and quickly edited the banner when they came back from the weekend.

No lets go with the hacking conspiracy :alien:.

I read the whole article. The guy who wrote it says that he hasn't read this thread but he somehow thinks that posters in this thread have figured out that it's a scam. How do you figure that out without reading the thread?

While it's probably been said 100,000,000 times seeing as the threads 71 pages long at this stage, longer than some companion threads, I'd say that the devs have now seen this thread and even posted in it indicates a good chance that it's totally real. I'd assume they'd deny or lock the thread if it wasn't true. :P

Man, that was a long sentence :P

... RPGWatch should have checked their evidence .... The original had ''demo out now'' and we know it was not photoshoped because it was on the EA website in this form but they have changed it later ...

just click the blue bioware tag under the thread title on the topic list, then you'll see if a dev has said anything to confirm or deny the demo.

Whether we get the demo or not, that image was not a scam or hack because most of us early on went on the EA site and even saw the image reading that in three different languages. We didn't just see the copied image we saw the source, and then the EA sites changed it so now it doesn't have demo on it. It seems like EA dropped the ball too early as some have said.

Gaider posted about "trolling" on this thread.  I think he wanted us to continue to speculate on our own.  maybe there is a demo.  But Im not one to count my chickens before they hatch.  But people are free to speculate how they want.  we will know tomorrow, not point getting too caught up in it.

Nothing's been proven, yet. Don't jump to conclusions, either way. There's still hope.

Whether it's real or not and no matter what occurs or, um, doesn't tomorrow - this thread is still more entertaining than all the necros that've been popping up today.

See, Bioware? This is what happens when you leave us to our own devices

He says people here have figured it out that it's a scam. I've been following this thread since its inception basically and i can't remember reading that someone came with proof that it actually is a scam. So i dunno how he got to that conclusion...
