Count me in as someone else who'd prefer a character creator with no gameplay to gameplay where only default Hawke is available. Even though I am planing to make my first run with default Lady Hawke, I think I would get more fun out of making different Hawkes than I would after a relatively small amount of gameplay.



For preference, though I will have both!

I'd imagine that the easiest way to distribute the demo for pc would be through Steam and it has happened before that some pc demos are only available through Steam. If that were the case, the announcement would come from Bioware on EST but the availability of the demo itself would partly depend on Valve who usually release everything on PST.

I don't think BioWare would use Steam for PC demo downloads because:

A) All of the demos that BioWare has put out has been through third-party websites.

The debacle with Steam not carrying the SE

If something is coming out on the XBOX 360 it will be within 10 hours.
The servers refresh at 6AM EST. 5CST and 4PST.

Both the Mass Effect 2 demo and the Character Creator for Origins were available through Steam. But yes, considering that they don't have the Signature Edition it makes it likely that it won't be through them.

Also, just because the demo comes out or not, this thread can be kept alive. We can add the criticizm of the demo onto this thread, it can still have it's uses/

You can hit the start button, run "Run" , Type in DXdiag.
If you have Vista or 7 just type run in the start search bar.
