There are quite a few problems I had with this DLC (just finished my first time with it)  and I am honestly underwhelmed.  It seems that Bioware just didn't really care they tossed in a couple already used locations gave us a couple of boring characters and easy boss fights.
As if thats not enough I couldn't find a single 2 handed weapon at all and since I finished Origins with a weapon that couldn't be there I was stuck with a 1 handed sword (Thats great for a warrior with 2 handed skills maxed out)
Not to mention catching up to Morrigan was lame and pointless whoever wrote the script for her dialog needs to be fired because I felt more cheated than if Morrigan wasn't even in the DLC.
This has probably already been said a lot but Witch Hunt was bad.

Well, it was definately better than the darkspawn chronicles in my opinion. Even if you didn't like it, the bonus items make it worthwhile. I enjoyed it though.

There is at least the Dragonbone Cleaver (which is also one of the bonus weapons).

Witch hunt was pretty underwhelming. Especially if you compare it with ME2's 'Lair of the Shadow Broker' that launched at the same time to cover the same topic (old girlfriends). It didn't even give any real answers.
The only really good moment was her smiling when she sees Dog. And Sandal telling you he went potty. Posted Image

edit: whups I meant underwhelming, not overwhelming. fixed.

Yes, DA's DLC stacks up very poorly against ME's. In fact I've only just finished ME and it's only now I realise how much less effort went into the DA stuff. Which baffles and annoys me.

Witch Hunt was rushed, lazy and insubstancial. But there were a few good points (not enough to redeem it from being a let-down, but still...) I thought the companions were easily the best companions we've had outside Origins or Awakening. There were a lot of tongue-in-cheek jokes, especially at the mage's tower. It was nice to tie the Dalish origin back into the game. And if you romance Morrigan, there's the option for a reasonably satisfying resolution.

There's little reason for the warden to be going after Morrigan if they didn't romance her, and even less if the ritual was never performed. It was nice to be able to slay darkspawn with my warden, but Witch Hunt was very underwhelming, as many have already said. The best thing about Witch Hunt was the achievement-unlocked equipment. Vestments of the Seer is a pretty nice mage robe.

Hopefully more effort goes into the DA2 dlc.

Agreed. This is certainly, from what I have heard, going to be a DLC which I will question playing, and for God's sake, MY Warden DID romance Morrigan and would heavily prefer to continue/rekindle it with her. I personally wish for a remake of DA:O sort of like they are fixing to do with Ocarina of Time. IE An edition as good as DA2, but that will probably never happen......
