I voted for Aveline. She just radiates so much strength and integrity. I hope to have her as a permanent member of my team.



Bethany is my second choice. It's just so cool to have family that survive (I think). I'm looking forward to the sibling dynamic. Hawke's story may not end on the best note, but at least I think I can make a positive difference in the lives of my sister and brother.

There is a way to subvert a stereotype. Alternatively, there are also archetypes that are timeless and will always be acceptable no matter how many times they're used. What we've heard of Fenris sounds like neither of those things to me, but simply like a cliche running on more 'cool points' and good looks than personality. But like I said, I'm fully hoping and open to being proven wrong. Right now I'm just going by the release stuff, which obviously is rarely the full picture.

I enjoy games immensely, obviously. It's okay to agree to disagree about a character neither of us really knows yet.

... Poor Carver, so low on the polls. He's practically tied for first for me. I agree with everyone else, the sibling should add a refreshing new dynamic. I'm hoping that since Carver and Bethany are likely sharing dialogue that doesn't mean their part in the game is smaller. I'm hoping with how they're hyping up the family connection that the sibling will be a primary companion, like Alistair was.

I'm kind of ambivalent about Isabela. I think she could be fun, but I haven't formed much of an opinion on her yet. It's hard to see her as the same character from DA:O.

Another vote for Aveline. None of the other characters grab me at all except Carver and Bethany, and that is only because the family dynamic interests me. The last time BioWare did a kick ass warrior woman that lasted through an entire game was Mazzy Fentan in BG2. Any others since then have been either haughty, died, or were NPCs.

For some reason, I'm crazy excited to meet Carver. I want to be his big brother. I want to start off entirely protective of him, but gradually step back and watch him mature as the ten-year story progresses. *sniffsniff*

I don't know, gorram. They all sound so interesting! I can tell you which one I am least interested in: Fenris. Not that he sounds like a bad character or anything (he's not quite my kind of character, though), it's just that the other companions have him severely outmatched.
