Hi there,

I recently bought ME2 for the PS3. I have not played ME1, but I've read that I'll be able to discover what happened during the first game through an interactive comic included with the PS3 version. I also found out that I would need to use the Cerberus Network Redemption Code to see the comic as it is considered DLC. However, when I tried to enter the code online, it did not work. I bought the game in the Philippines, it is labeled Region 3, and I have a US Playstation Network account. Is it possible that the Redemption Code is also region restricted? I mean, would I have to create an account from let's say, Hong Kong to be able to redeem the code? What do you guys think?

Use your US Playstation Network Account. Use your code that will work.

Born in Ireland and raised in China , I speak five languages and I am #$%^ed by region codes (author is now wailing) ahem , why don't the folks at Bioware bridge the PS3 redemption code (what a silly name "redemption code" HAHAHAHAH) to the Bioware site and Bioware can do something ........ please ? ...........................Please?

It's not that hard to create a new psn id for another region. Besides, only the Cerberus code is region-locked, the rest of the DLCs are not.

And the moral of the story is......don't buy games from other countries.

Easy to say when you're not from a country with an unjustifiably inflated RRP for games, where current US exchange rate parity means that buying locally means paying double what you'd pay at a local online store stocking imported copies, let alone importing directly from overseas.



And a main cause of this local inflated RRP? The consequences of PAL Region-coding and a European distribution hub for stock.



So moral of the story is... even with all the problems you have to put up with from importing, you're still ahead in the long run.

Wow dude just create a second PSN... My ME2 is european and my PSN is american... it took me 2 seconds to create a european one and redeem the code
