I think you'd break your hand if you punched Garrus in the face. Aim for his throat instead. It seems to be unprotected... or at least not as protected.

(And for the record, I like Garrus, so don't eat me )

Reason why Garrus is a complete and utter idiot

* Indecisive, can't make up his mind (ME1) .. I hated this about him.  So many times I wanted to just pay 5000 credits to Wrex to kick the **** out of Garrus. That would of been hilarious to watch.  Then when you say goodbye to him in ME1, he sounds like a little ****. "oh oh, sorry, oh sorry.."...

* Disrespected his family (ME1)

* Disrespects law and order (ME1)

* A horrible leader

* Gets people killed

* Doesn't respect Paragon Shepard (pisses me off)

* He's just a little ****, haven't you noticed? He never stands firm in a decision, no one can respect that.

Sure he can fight, but look at his weapon of choice? A sniper rifle? Coward sits in the back picking people off.   I'd rather stick him in a second group so I never have to see his cowardly, indecisive face.

On a more serious note, I do think he's a bit of an idiot. In ME1, everytime he wants something (mostly something violent), Shepard just says 2 words and Garrus does a complete 180. What gives? He seems like a little child throwing a tantrum everytime he does that.

His loyalty mission is also a selfish, pointless waste of time but he wants you to do it...

I want to like Garrus, but his dialogue never makes me really sympathize with him. His exchanges with Shepard after his entry into ME2 went much further than any other dialogue in making me like him, but this outstanding portion of the script didn't last long enough to really change my opinion. He always feels much more distant from Shepard than the other members of the cast. Or at least, he did in Mass Effect 1. The only squadmates I actually liked in ME2 were Tali, Legion, Mordin, and to a lesser extent, Thane. Outside of those characters, I felt like all of them suffered from a the same faults that impede Garrus. I think I preferred the Scotsman that worked in engineering over most of my team, now that I think about it.

And constantly gripes about how he doesn't need you to approve and that he's going to do it "his way".  Perfect way to treat your commanding officer who is only doing this as a personal favor to you.

If there was an option to turn around and leave Garrus alone in the warehouses I would have taken it.

True fact guys, you don't have to like everyone. What some people see as flaws, others will see as bad writing. Which can be said for just about every character in the history of existence.
