I thought he was better in ME1, at least there you could say he was fully fleshed out character. He was brash and impulsive yet at the same time partly tempered by the military discipline or his father and people. In ME2 they just distilled his character down to one asset, "Garrus says cool things and isn't afraid of anything", he has 3 conversations and two of them relate to his loyalty mission and the other is the romance starter. Don't follow that path and you get nothing, he's as deep as puddle in parking lot. I could see if you like the somewhat cheesy 80's action cliche that Garrus channels and like a few of the clever things he says from time to time. However the violence done to and near total hollowing out of his character is almost unforgivable he's a shell of his former self and his inclusion in ME2 is for the worst.



He should have been in Captain Bailey's spot and as much as I like Col. Tigh Garrus sitting there would have made much, more sense. Instead what could have been a great moment in ME2 and a more careful development of the character in preparation for ME3 was wasted for no good in-game reason.

As for the topic itself. Personally, I like Garrus and I have yet to see a thread like this (on any character) where these 'discussions' turn out well.

The OP is clearly one of those creatures that live under a bridge ...... I forget what they are called. At any rate it has come out and is looking for food, dont give it any and maybe it will go away.



Garrus is my favorite ME squad mate and lots of people like him, for someone to come on the forums and post that is clearly a cry for attention, even if it is negative.

I have no clue.  It seems that it did elicit some serious replies from others that have given criticism to Garrus' character and these have been met with the same attitude.

* Indecisive, can't make up his mind (ME1) .. I hated this about him.  So many times I wanted to just pay 5000 credits to Wrex to kick the **** out of Garrus. That would of been hilarious to watch.  Then when you say goodbye to him in ME1, he sounds like a little ****. "oh oh, sorry, oh sorry.."...

* A horrible leader

* Gets people killed

* Doesn't respect Paragon Shepard (pisses me off)
