Please, I can't take this thread seriously when half the posters are claiming to be (or acting like) medical experts. Cause I'm sure none of us here have a doctorate in cross-species zeno-biology or something like that.
this forum has doctors, biologist, astronomers, NASA scientist, Military and space warfare tacticans, ect.

If you can die as a quarrian from a suit puncture imagine the damage germs will do in an exposed orifice aka the vagina. Not to mention the number of germs that live on a humans skin. Then again BW only seems to use the quarrians immune deficiency plot device when it is convenient aka making combat more dramatic but it ignores alot because its just not practical. A race of aliens with AIDS isn't going to last very long.

Shepard has AIDS!?
Well now he does, Tali has AIDS her entire species has AIDS I don't know how this happened, but this whole auto immune deficiency thing is definitely AIDs and Shepard now has it.

If she's exposed to Shepard often enough would that lead to a cure.

She seems to be alive afterwards and even raring to go again... That's what made me wonder in the first place and promted the thread.
Because Tali has already been exposed to germs on a regular basis being part of the crew in ME1 she does not seem to get life threatening symptoms. If she's exposed to Shepard often enough would that lead to a cure.

Uhm wtf dude fine you hang out with people who have AIDS and try and cure them it doesn't work dude! Your just going to get them sick! I'm sorry to break your Talimancing heart!

Then Shepard is gonna have to go see Dr. Chawkwas with the hope that she can perform some miracle on him.BobSmith101 wrote...
This may or may not have come up before but since I only came across the situation last night I'm posting it anyway.
In much the same was as a mothers milk kick starts a babies immume system, or doses of non lethal diseases (like cow pox) can be used to prevent smallpox. Would a regular injection of "Shepard" have the same effect on Tali?
It would certainly a give basis for having Tali out of her suit in ME3 at least

Every Talimancer's face:
I think my Shepard would prefer to have a sever case of hemorrhoids, rather than face the consequences of what you're suggesting.

Talimancer safety tips:
Put a bag over Tali's head
Cover your ENTIRE body with plastic
cover Tali's entire body with plastic
poke a hole
Use Biohazard shower afterwards.

Firstly, mothers and their babies are of the same species, and have half of the same genes, so their immune systems are very similar, unlike Shepard's and Tali's, who are not only of different species but have completely opposite genetic chirality.
Secondly, exposing the immune system to weakened versions of diseases is only worthwhile if the patient actually has a working immune system that can handle it. It doesn't make the immune system stronger, per se, it just provides it with relevant antibodies and thus a means to fight the more dangerous infection. The whole point about the Quarians' immune systems is that they are already weak. It'd be like giving someone with AIDS a cowpox injection.
I think the only way Tali's allergies to human pathogens are going away is with gene therapy.
