Anyone here replaying DAO to match the DA2 backstories?

You can spend hours in DAO to get the savegame or you can just pick that backstory in DA2 to get the same consequences. If anything it makes more sense to replay decisions which aren't in one of the three available backstories so you have more options and see different things in multiple DA2 playthroughs.

Human noble rogue, romanced Leliana, put Bhelen on throne, didn't preserve the anvil, didn't do Morrigan's dark ritual, put hardend Alistiar and Anora on throne, Loghain redeemed himself via ultimite sacrifice. Also killed the Architect in Awakening and allowed Morrigan to pass through the Eluvian in Witch Hunt
Obviously these aren't all the decisions, but these are the ones I imagine will have an impact or at least be mentioned in DA2

Dwarf Noble male warrior, killed Connor, preserved the Anvil, put Bhelen on the throne, sided with the mages and the elves, hardened Alistair and put him on the throne with Anora while recruiting Loghain, did the Dark Ritual so everyone lived, killed the Architect, romanced Morrigan and followed her throught the Eluvian.

I'm trying and trying to enjoy my mage elf who hates everyone, but the class is just... bleh.
So now I'll see how it all works with the 'equal love' mod with a Dalish archer girl, intending to romance Morrigan, exile Alistair, let Loghain sacrifice himself putting Anora on the throne, let Amaranthine burn, kill the architect and join Morri through the mirror. This one's more to see if and how DA2 will properly pick up on modded romances and negative choices, since I already did everything like I wanted my 'canon' Warden to be in the human fem one.

I'll be "replaying" DAO for many years to come, I'm sure.
And since I'm writing a very loooong DA:O fanfiction, this game will still keep me occupied for a great anount of time.

No. I have no clue how someone can play through DA:O more than once. I have tried doing so five times now and can never make it beyond Ostigar.
You have to like the combat, at least IMO. That's the only reason I ever have to replay I game. Though some people seem hyper motivated by ''content I missed!'' That's not me, though.

I'll be playing my Prince-Consort playthrough first, I hope I'll be hearing some good news. I had no intention to wrestle for the throne, I just wanted to make Daddy Loghain's little girl happy
Awakening was funny with that import.
- "Stop, who goes there?!"
- "The Prince-Consort of Ferelden, Ruler of Amaranthine, Commander of the Grey, Second-in-line Teyrn of Highever! I have also taken a nevarran pirate and three greased nugs between the sheets."
- "Well, don't you just stand there, fetch me 20 bear asses! Now sod off already!"

So far I've done en elf mage, human noble warrior (2H), Dalish elf rogue (archer) and currently in awakening with my dwarf commoner roguer (DW). I still need a dwarf noble warrior (S&S - will die I think) and a City elf warrior (DW - longswords

I feel ya. I HATE Ostagar. It's the repetition that does it, I think. Ostagar was interesting maybe the first two times, but after you pretty much have it memorized it's just a tedious part to get past to play your new character. I wish I had a "Skip Ostagar" option for new characters, but I'll be using that mod for the PC for sure.
That & the Deep Roads are my least favorite part of the game, and it makes replaying it unbearable for me.

There's tons of roleplaying content, I think, though that does include the combat, so you may be right. In Exile wrote...

I was just wondering if anyone here has decided to replay DAO, but this time using the DA2 backstories to dictate your build and outcome..........
And, if you are, what are your reasons for doing so...............
We know that for those who don't import a save file, DA2 will give us 3 backstories to choose from:
"Hero of Ferelden" (Default): Ended Fifth Blight by killing Archdemon and survived. Placed Alistair on the throne.
"The Martyr": Young Dalish Elf who died to kill the Archdemon. She left the kingdom ruled by Alistair and Anora.
"No Compromise": Dwarven noble took command of Grey Wardens. Exiled Alistair, sent Loghain to his death against Archdemon, and left Anora as Ferelden’s ruler.
I've decided to replay DA2, following the Martyr storyline. So, I'm playing as a female Dalish warrior. She will fall in love with Alistair. But, as dictated by the storyline, she will let Alistair and Anora rule the kingdom. And, of course, she will make the ultimate sacrifice to kill the Archdemon.
Initially, I was going to stop playing DAO and just focus on DA2, since I would have to play as Hawke and not my Warden. Plus, I like the revamped combat mechanics in DA2. Since I never actually could finish DAO, I had no save to import and I was just going to use one of the 3 backstories.......
However, once I found out about the 3 storyline options, and that Merrill is a companion, I started thinking that it might be fun to recreate those storylines with my own playthrough and then import that save to DA2.
I chose the Martyr storyline because, 1. Merrill is a companion in DA2 and she might have some more things to say if the Warden was one of her clansmen. Plus, the Dalish origin is one that I never gave much interest to, so this would give me the chance to play that origin.
And 2. because I wanted the Warden to be out of the picture so Hawke can have all the attention.
Anyone else doing ( or planning on doing ) something similar??
That is my dwarf noble playthrough. I assume the Anvil was destoryed, Harrowmont is king, Zathrian is dead, the werewolves cured, the mages still alive, Redcliff vilage, Connor and Isolde are still alive, no romantic interests (on the surface at least) and Dagna started a circle in Orzammar?

My elf mage was a selfish racist **** and I'm gonna import him just to know how the world reacts to all his funny pranks such as leaving an entire village to die or mocking Alistair for the whole duration of the game and then kicking him out of his own throne room.
Hmm? You'd think a racist elf would want Alistair on the throne. Things weren't exactly great with the elves with Anora running the place.

The good thing is that she 'owes' you, and you can still use your boon to make it better for elves
