What I want to see is ruined cities and cities that's complete normal, like it they were early or before an reaper attack.

I hope that the cities will not look like they are from Star Wars. Also, I want to see ruined environments similar to Fallout 3's Capital Wasteland.

Wait you want Earth in 2186 to look like 2010?   ;)

Of course you mean the location and variety is always good.  It will be interesting to see where else Bioware chooses.  It will be the big and impressive cities, so there certainly on the cards.

I can picture a lot of comparisions of Halo ODST. Sci-fi Earth battles will clearly have a lot of similarities but I think Bioware can also learn a lot from that game.

ill be honest with you, it's good to be getting a glimpse of earth but i hope that we dont see too much of it. We have enough games set of earth already, I'd be happy if it was maybe just the last mission in which you go to help earth from attack. One of the MANY good things about Mass Effect is the limitless amount of things they can do with the environments you visit because a new planet could look like anything. The one thing i want from Mass Effect 3 is certain chararcters to return as squad members like, Liara, Tali, Kasumi, garrus and Joker.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who lives in London, I'll give my impression of what it should be like.

I reckon the Monarchy would be gone, seeming as they have been degrading to the point of now just being a tourist attraction. With the absence of a Monarchy there would be a lot less traditional buildings and more ultra modern buildings (the royals are awfully conservative when it comes to architecture). These new range of modern buildings can already be seen to be surfacing on the skyline of London such as the beautiful 'Shard' that is being built.

Ya know, just looking at that building now. I love the look of it, but does anyone else think it looks like some sort of super villains headquarters?

The more well-off areas will probably be a cross of Illium, New Mombasa, and the codex image.

A more slummy metropolis would look like this IMO.

I'd like London to feature but either way I want to see a before and after. So for example Shepard starts at Earth before the Reapers arrive. Then a post Reaper arrival Earth showing a torched husk with only a few places left to be cleansed by the Reapers.

what i think would be best both realistic and cool to see would be to have old building styles of today but office building and rich corporate buildings and the wealthy class to have futuristic buildings as ME is only just more than a century and a half in the future so whole cities we know today can't change that much. In short a cross between todays cities and illum like is most realistic.

Is it the one in the middle in very far back?

The London in the trailer is pretty good. It's appropriately eclectic - London should never look like it was planned, it should just be a bunch of random buildings from various time periods.

Ha! That'd be very interesting. Just once, we actually fail to save the Earth so we have to go pick a human colony to call our new homeworld.

It could actually have potential for new Mass Effect games!

Really? You want to see humanity loose it's homeworld? How about the other races? Asari? Salarians? Krogan?
What about their homeworlds?
