Whenever you notice something like that, a space wizard did it

Oh my gosh, what was Bioware thinking? I hate Mass Effect 2 so much already! Kidding, I wouldn't really care. I thought this was going to be about something Thane said or a glitch regarding Nassana Dantius.
Oh well, you have the right to excercise your freedom of speech.

I at least brought evidence. Where's yours?

The codex was not designed to be an encyclopedia. The elevator could very well be like an omni tool. Are you suggesting that because the other guy didn't have blueprints of the elevator, his theory is automatically unacceptable?
It's a damn game that was developed in a limited time frame. Just take a damn leap of faith. Don't be that guy that watches movies over and over just to go "HAH that's so not possible". Whatever happened to just rolling with the immersion?
By the way, an elevator console doesn't need a Haptic interface. It is not used in space combat where there are so many variables that it takes nearly a dozen people (or one very powerful AI) to even pilot the damn thing. The elevator just goes up and down. I don't see any touchscreen digital inputs in today's modern elevators, do you?

Actually, you have to remember the codex also refers to people who need to undertake the surgery to use Hepatic Interfaces or wear gloves.
It's a damn elevator. Is everyone supposed to undergo the surgery or wear gloves just to use it?
