I agree with this.  Maybe Varric?  The buffet of manliness would be a nice contrast to Zevran.

Very true. It may mean shes "virginal" to the way that we date. Just look at Cammen and Gheyna they don't date like we do and they seem to be the norm for the Dalish.

Apparantly (though unconfirmed) now you can still have a romance relationship even with negative approval .

This I like. No longer do we need to flatter the *** out of them.

The romance options seem to based on class. I don't want Varric being the bi LI, cause the we would have this:
Straight female = Mage (Assuming Merril is LI)
Bisexual any gender = Rogue
Straight male = Warrior (Assuming Fenris is LI)
Can be changed with the Mage guy and Aveline, but still a fourth bisexual rogue doesn't seem right with me. I know we don't know anything for sure yet, but still...

I remember that, yes. But Mr. Gaider would be hard-pressed to explain why they showed a shot of Merrill in that trailer the same moment the words "virginal girl next door" were mentioned.

Perhaps he was talking about someone else? I find it hard to believe that there could be a completely unannounced female companion that might fit that description, and that they were simply using Merrill as a placeholder.

I think Mr. Gaider was just trying to dissuade us from adopting certain pre-conceived notions. But, to me, at this point in time, Merrill is still the "virginal girl next door."

Why Varric couldn't be romanceable for a make Hawke ? Not because Zevran was means Fenris will be.

Male Hake: Isabela, Merril, and Fenris

FemHawke: Mage-guy, Fenris, and Isabela

Aveline probably won't want to get involved with you due to... certain circumstances at the beginning of the game and Varric is dwarf so no thanks.

For the S/S options, I hope it's not Fenris, but seeing as we already have what is proably a human S/S LI (Isabela), I don't think so. It would look repetitive if both S/S options were human.
