I think it's hilarious that people will be more happy if the bi LI is Anders (assuming that actually is Anders.) A brooding, serious, tough two-handed warrior, or a campy, snarky, fastidious healer mage who loves kitties? Surely the first is the manlier and more ~*progressive*~ LI.

Oh wait he's an elf, nevermind, that clearly invalidates everything else about him.

I also find this very interesting. x] I would like to see how this plays out with Isabella or Fenris (assuming he's an LI).

I think the romance options will break down like this:

Male Hawke: Isabella, Merrill, Aveline (maybe), "Anders" (maybe)
Fem Hawke: Isabella, Varric, Fenris, Sebastion (maybe), "Anders" (maybe)

I think Aveline, IF she is an LI, will be very hard to woo. She did just lose her husband after all,  so I don't think the romance would really be able to start until a few years after her husband's death.

Sebation could make an interesting romance, but because he seems so wrapped up in revenge (plus the fact that he's a DLC character and he'd make it so there are more options available to femHawke) makes me doubt he's an LI. But if he is, it'd be a nice surprise.

And of course, "Anders" is a maybe because we're not even sure who he is yet.

Anyway, I really hope Fenris is a romance. He seems to be the most interesting companion to me so far. Especially with the rival/hatesex thing. xD

I think Varric would be the most progressive choice. I mean if we're talking about bucking stereotypes here, burly dwarf beats out both campy mage and femme elf.

i mean sure she sleeps with both genders but that doesn't have to mean she'd like a serious relationship with a female...right?

I don't think its very been confirmed, actually her being an LI even for a guy has never officially comfired, but all evidence points to that she is. As for her dating women it just seems weird to have her be bi in one game then straight in another. They may do that, but I don't it.

I don't think Fenris will necessarily be the bi option. I think it will probably be the mage that everybody is calling 'Anders'. I agree with pretty much the rest of the OP.



I would really like Aveline to be an LI, but it seems unlikely seeing as Isabella and Merrill seem to already fit the bill for the female types Bioware like to have in games. Such as Isabella being like the Morrigan/Ashley/Miranda/Silk Fox and Merrill being the Leliana/Liara/Tali/Dawn Star. Of course, they might throw Aveline in there as an unexpected third option, like Jack, but the male bi option would probably qualify as the third option.

I found this bit of info in a russian (printed) magazine BUT I'm not sure how true it is. It basically says that in a rivalry relationship you can either fight with the follower about it or seduce them. (?) So yeah. Not sure if this confirms that all followers can be LI?.. Or the journalists don't know what they're talking about (they did play the game).

I love them both.



And though I highly doubt it will be possible, Aveline would be lovely to have. For either gender. I'm a sucker for a lovely ginger. Especially one that is as strong as she, lol.



And Merril, but I don't believe she's even been confirmed as a companion, but if she is then I'd like her.

So basically, I want to bang the whole cast x] lol, just kidding.

True. But in my plan for my first playthrough, a bona fide prince would fit perfectly. Anders (if it turns out to be him) is a dribbeling idiot with a penchant for kittens. Not marriage material for the girl I wanna play first as
