Plus, the old companions should be preety busy keeping the world in order ever since my warden decided to stroll through an ancient elven mirror.

By the way, why does everyone like Nathaniel so much? Am I the only one who hated him? D=

I would like to see Stern as a General or whatever in the Qunari Invasion also. Since he's had experience with this part of the world he would be at the front of such an event.

You are not alone. A number of the companions in DA and awakenings were turfed immediately by my player if i was roleplaying no nonsense, none evil character.

I'm a rogue. I could do that myself. =D
Besides, he's just such a miserable sod. (_ ¬¬)
Ooh, I killed your father, so what? My cousin was raped you don't see me complaining. Well, I suppose I got revenge, but that's beside the point.
By the way, does anyone else think Nathaniel sounds like he should be Loghain's son? xD

Eh, Sten.
Best comment from Sten was when he was released and there was a question "and what if I chose to kill you now" to which Sten answered "You can try."
Edit: Anyone having a clue and aiming to "save the world" would had hired him at once then.

From Origins, probably Leliana. Purely just to call all the Qunari softies. From Awakening, Velanna. I love Grey DeLisle's voice and I really like Velanna, even though some call her bitter and mean.
However, of ALL characters. It's a toss between Shianni, (I actually love her), and Isolde, (just so I can kill her again, the nasty, mean, Chantry loving, Orlesian, annoying voiced, gold diggering, fake, botoxed, nasty cow).

Rofl with Isolde I would had used letter of consciption and took her to wardens and romanced her. And to compensate that for his husband I would had saved his life and said soz but u can get more chicks. Isolde be all mine.
Edit: Though I would had just used the letter to take her, she would had never went through the joining. There would had been always something else to do, and I would had talked her to lose interest on joining if needed.

But I think we already got him confirmed as a cameo, yes? And we won't be having him as a companion (between the timeframe and Sebastien being really similar - what, that would be three archer rogue companions then?!). So...I'm happy.

For me personally i would like to see Justice return. He broke the companion dynamic up much the same way as shale did in origins. They were taken from their world at the time without having much say in the matter and given the task of completing whatever task the main character was setting out to complete.

I too really liked Justice. He was interesting to talk/listen to, because his perspectives and what he knew was so different to the other characters. The way he sees the mortal world is fsacinating, as is what he says about spirits and the Fade. And it's rather sweet seeing a spirit getting emotional over a lyrium ring
Shale was excellent for a similar reason. And her dry, snarky humour.

I didn't like Velanna at first (didn't help that I couldn't trigger her quest and therefore was unable to move the relationship along), but she's grown on me. I think part of her hostility comes from insecurity, and she can acutally seem very touched by some of what the Warden says or does, even if it's sometimes in a very Velanna-ish way. I love the way her VA delivers some of her lines too. People always compare her to Morrigan, but I don't know why. But then again, I'm not sure why Alistair and Anders are seen as similar (except in appearance).

Shale had great humour. I always stopped and listened carefully what she said.

Which makes Sten all the more funny in my books. Plain two handed warriors like him and Oghren are totally pathetic in comparision to most any other class in DA. Sten is your classic bully, all talk but could never back it up. The warden (no matter what class) could kick his ass almost any time.
