Oghren was bad in DA:O and even worse on DA:A.
I hope the NPCs are even more important in this version and they are more multi dimensional then Ogrhen. I would like to see an interesting Dwarf of Elf NPC

I'd say Sigrun. I wouldn't choose one of the Origins characters because I think we got to know them fully, but the Awakenings ones, not so much.

Which makes Sten all the more funny in my books. Plain two handed warriors like him and Oghren are totally pathetic in comparision to most any other class in DA. Sten is your classic bully, all talk but could never back it up. The warden (no matter what class) could kick his ass almost any time.
Yeah, but he had the attitude. He did not fear death, and was ready to fight unarmed and face certain death while not even thinking about dying. Everyone can talk they are like that, but Sten was like it and it was confirmed in the same moment (unless Sten bluffed or joked, which I don't find being him doing in that situation).
Edit: By the way Sten is anything but Bully.

I was a big fan of the Awakening's companions in comparison to Origins with the exception of Velanna. If I had to pick just one to carry over I'd probably go with... Oghren. Anders in a tie at 1b.
You'd be hard pressed to find a one dimensional character in DA. They just don't all show their depth after one series of questions ala Allistair.
