Sure I was ticked off that I didn't get a demo at first, but at the end of the day, the game comes out next month. No point being childish about it, because if it wasn't for BioWare we wouldn't have a Dragon Age II to not have a demo of

Edit: Leading everyone on like that was AWESOME. After my brief rage of a lack of demo I laughed for about half an hour

Bioware simply chose to ignore the excitement that was building. I wonder if there was a betting pool for this announcement.

Huh you would think maybe doing a few easy info leaks, like femHawke's voice, maybe more art, or confirmations of a couple of LIs would be painless enough on their end but just enough to hold over fans for one more month. If not that, then some other mysterious piece of info on the lore? OR maybe even a tour through Hawke mansion? That would be kind of cool but unspoilerish.

oh quite definitely, but a "sorry our plans fell through" coupled with "but hey here's LadyHawkes voice and some screens and some more exclusive tidbits (we weren't originally planning on talking about) just because we promised there'd be something awesome" would have worked out so much better

Well, it is something of substance. But okay, so it disappointed you... what did you expect, then? A demo? First of all, they might still, keeping in mind that they're not the ones who emailed those banners, and if they did release a demo they never intended to do it today, evidently. But ignoring that leak which was out of their control, is it really reasonable to expect something from them that they've never commented on? As opposed to the thing they've been talking about for a while?

And okay, let's say you were right in expecting whatever you were expecting, and you didn't get it... so you were disappointed a little, you expected something better. Keep in mind that this is something they're offering for free, here. Rein in the entitlement just a little?

Yeah, your right. They gave us nothing for free. Boy do that help ease the pain and disapointment.<_<

Or just a 'Sorry, there's no plans for a demo.' That'd have nipped the rumour in the bud and prevented everyone getting excited over this. Seriously, it's hardly PR 101 to say that stopping false rumours quickly is important, or that it might be an idea to prevent your fans getting overly excited over something that's not going to happen.

I doubt it. This is no longer an issue up for debate. As certain as we were with one random picture that there would be a demo, as certain we can be after EA Czech's announcement as well as DA Legends' that there will be no demo.
