The whole accidental banner thing could easily have been stomped out with a simple "sorry folks, the ad graphics team screwed up. We fixed it now though"
To say nothing, shop it out, then specify that you can neither confirm or deny a demo... that's just milking nerd tears to feed Gaider is all that is.
I think the unprofessional moment came in EA not doing any real damage control when the bad banners went out.
