Did you guys see thepart? Is a few weeks really worth the rage? Maybe it is. Not from me, though. I'll go back to what I was doing before the silly accidental demo image from a European retailer. This early demo access is being granted to Gamestop employees only. Any form of distribution, recording, posting of any elements of the Dragon Age 2 demo and any of its files is strictly prohibited until February 23, 2011 when the demo is made available to all consumers. I...I...I don't even know what to do.
ANGER because of their crappy handling of the pamphlet and the Legends announcement.
JOY because OMG OMG OMG DEMO
DISAPPOINTMENT because we're getting it so late
MORE ANGER because GameStop needs to hire me for a day, right now and why didn't they tell us about the demo?
CONFUSION because those are a lot of feelings.
I'm just gonna go huddle in the corner until the 23rd

You're missing the point.
2-1-11 card was given to us last year. Speculation has been constant since then. Indications from Biware (you can find Mike Laidlaw's quote in this thread) was that something special would happen on that date. Word of a demo was leaked. No denial from Bioware. An announcement today that beta testing on DA:L continues.
And now, confirmation of a demo on 2/23.
The point is that Bioware itself basically wants to tell us nothing about this game.
It's not being tested by gamestop employees, it's just a lousy marketing ploy.bluewolv1970 wrote...
So Bioware puts a flier in an Xbox 360 game that is EITHER for a facebook game or a DA2 PC demo that is being tested by a retailer who barely carries pc games...and the jokes keep coming...

This is all very confusing....
I hope that sometime before DA2's release date, this whole thing will be explained.

yeah, profeesional FPSers that ask women gamers if they're buying for their boyfriends...
that one experience ruined my image of them.
Probably just a jerky employee. I have never come across this at my local gamestop.
Ditto here. At our local Gamestop, of the 6 or so people there the only person who knows anything about games is a nice, chatty 20 something woman :3 Sort of nice when you can talk about various genres over various platforms and debate the merits of'em all.
Only store I buy games from, that's for sure. Maybe we just lucked out with good stores

Also Bioware.
I uh pre ordered and paid for my Dragon Age II.
A guy I know who works at Gamestop is the biggest FPS fan who hates RPG.
You're rewarding him with a demo... Why?
I seriously don't understand- why gamestop?
