When Priestly made his announcement earlier... I got a headache...

Once that had passed I watched the nerd-rage on the forums... and got a headache...

And now there's this demo-forum-explosion thing going on.... and I have yet another headache...



So what I want to know... is when is Bioware going to partner with Bayer or something and send us all free bottles of Asprin??



I have to admit though.... I'm really looking forward to the 23rd now... I should have my new PC all ready to sink it's teeth into that demo by then.

The demo is so close to the release date that I don't think I'll even try it out. I'll just avoid the forums after the 22nd. Just cause I don't want to spoil myself. I think I can just hold myself over, I guess.

But I am utterly baffled by the decision to provide early access to Gamestop employees. I'm not a marketing expert, but isn't the point of a demo to give people a sample of the game? I agree, the existence of a demo is good news, but confusion also abounds for me. In my experience many gamestop employs dont even care that much about games, let alone Dragon Age. Def. an odd decision by Bioware / EA / Marketing Division, whoever, really confusing.

I need to go to gamestop tomm. and see if any of the dudes working there will give me their code.

We had to grin and bear it when multi-plat games like Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm, both published by EA, had console only demos. Can't you guys on the other side of the fence deal with just one PC only demo?

Giving a PC only demo to Gamestop employees on the other hand is HILARIOUS

Probably b/c we are frequently the BIOWARE forums, specifically the Dragon Age 2 ones, wanting to learn about and play the game like everyone else. Hell, a lot of us probably don't even want dead space 2 or bulletstorm.

Isn't the point of a demo to let anyone who wants to buy the game try out the product so they can see if they actually want it or not? Way to cut out half of us. Thanks a lot.

Is "trick" a code for "demo?"  If it is, I'll concede your point.  But I think it could mean anything, including Dragon Age: Legends.

So there is a demo out on the 23rd?

That's about two weeks before the main release. Sounds about right as compared to when the character editor for Origins was released.

I'm really glad there's going to be a pc demo cuz if it runs like jenk on my pc i'll just cancel and buy a ps3 version instead.

Have you recently suffered from any head injuries? That would explain the headaches. If so, you should consult your doctor immediately.

I'm late but I feel compelled...
1: That seemed unecessarily mean...
2: The same reason Borders employees (and probably other bookstores but I can't speak from experience there) get to read books and listen to CDs before they're released. The same reason good restaurants will make their servers taste the dishes on the menu. The same reason car sales people get to take cars home overnight.
Because knowledge of a product increases the ability and liklihood of selling it. A salesperson that can describe the product in detail is more convincing than a salesperson who can not.
