Is it not obvious that BIOWARE does not actually employ any PR people? Obviously they're too broke from giving out free pre-order DLC bonuses... oh... wait.....
Seriously stanley, it might be prudent to "get your manager" on the phone and figure out how to "handle" this situation because the silence is accomplishing NOTHING.

In 2 months we will have a good laugh about it and everyone will be in the "zMG BioWare is the best!" puppy love stage.
I love this community. We put every bipolar emo scene teen to shame.

I'd be less baffled, and less indignant, if you would even flat out tell us, that you're not allowed to tell us. I'm sure there's plenty you have to say, and can't. Tell us that, and we'd likely calm down.
There's where most of the indignation in this thread is coming from, Stanley - what we percieve to be a lack of information.
Yes, yes, this! Can we please, please get something? If you can't talk about it, can you at least say that you can't talk about it?
.....and if you can't say that you can't say that you can't talk about it..... blink twice.
I'm pretty sure that saying
they "can't talk about it" could be constituted as violating the NDA
anyway.

Id ignore this dude. Judging from his multiple account creations to work around a ban that was most likely deserved, he doesnt care about anything he deams "Bioware fanboism"

My god. All this rage is getting annoying. It's just a demo, people. The game itself looks incredible, and we only have a month to go. BioWare has the right to do whatever they want with their products, I mean, it's not like the slaved over the game for an entire year and even continuing on past a whole year, right? Oh no wait, they did do that.
They put all their hard work and time into this. Not you. Let them make the decisions.

I Agree, as one could see by my avatar, I was all aboard the RAEG Train earlier today, but it is looking more and more like the devs really don't have much say / recourse in what is happening here. Lighten up. We have confirmed the demo ourselves, that SHOULD BE GOOD NEWS.

Without getting into the meat of this thread - as a publicly-traded company, we're very limited in what we can discuss. Not to mention there are very specific people whose job it is to discuss very specific issues - and this includes even something as seemingly-innocuous as 'I can't say anything about this'.
Most of the people who post on these forums are developers who offered to lend a hand with moderation and the like. We can occasionally share tidbits and clarify things. Other than that, there are things we can and cannot talk about, and generally we like to leave the bulk of the community stuff to the appropriate people.

That would be one hell of a strict NDA, and beyond any I've ever seen, except in instances which I can't disclose.
And saying that STILL does not violate the NDA's I've been involved in.

What I don't understand is why release it for the PC?
We don't know that the Feb 23 demo release will be PC only. Only that the Gamestop exclusive demo is.
It might be a reasonable assumption that the consumer release will likewise be PC only, but it's still an assumption.

We did say that... by not saying anything. We have nothing to say, so we didn't say anything. We didn't address certain issues, because we had nothing to say on those issues. You ask us questions about stuff. We don't answer, it means we have nothing to say on stuff.KawaiiKatie wrote...

I post here asking for people to follow our rules, it means I have something say as a Moderator whose job it is to keep the forums running smoothly. As a developer, i am much more restricted in what I can tell you, even more restricted on what I will tell you, as some folks have correctly pointed out.

What I don't understand is why release it for the PC? That market has the lowest potential audience (even lower than DAO) since less and less PC's are capable of running current-gen games, even on super low settings. To make matters worse not everyone has a PC, I myself am using a Macbook Pro to type this, and Bioware hates Macs. I'd understand if it was a 360 or PS3 exclusive, I'd still be angry but I'd at least understand.
For the last time.....
There is no confirmation that the demo released to the public will be PC only!

Even to a (primarily) PS3 user, this is wrong on so many levels. Either way, I thought BioWare said they had plans to release DA2 for the mac?

Or if they even know the information people are asking. I've read my game credits and I'm inclined to believe Woo is very important in the testing and QA area... Thus probably not so well versed subjects like retailer-exclusive demos or questions like "Does your marketing department regularly employee rabid space koalas or is that an entirely new developement?"Upsettingshorts wrote...
