Honestly I'm just confused as to why the Gamestop demo that the employees can play is a PC demo, because the Gamestops in my area only sell and stock console games. Is it different elsewhere?

Aside from the accusations of illiteracy you are correct. I missed Stan's post, unfortunately, as this thread is moving at a mile a minute.

Seriously stanley, it might be prudent to "get your manager" on the phone and figure out how to "handle" this situation because the silence is accomplishing NOTHING.

I’m not really sure what the developers could say at this point. The answer is there, on their website that someone graciously linked us to. We’ll get the demo on the 23rd. What should they speak about exactly? I wish I had it now, too. I wish I had it on the 11th. Would be super, but I wish I had the game now, too. I wish a lot of things. Now, we just have to be patient and wait. Being rancid toward anyone isn’t going to make Bioware email you a code for the demo. It’ll only get you banned.

I'm glad Bioware at least made a demo regardless of what system it comes out on. I would be happy if it came out on the 360 but I can wait if it doesn't.

However, would it be fair to ask you to relay a request that someone who CAN comment, do so?  I mean, I think you can both see that, beyond the snarkiness, what we really want at this point is the answer to 2 simple questions:

1) is there a demo which will be released to the general public on 2/23?
2) If so, will it be available on all platforms?

well, hopefully the air isnt tense now. I still disagree with the way it has been handled, but i certainly appreciate JE's and STanly's attempts to keep the Uprising peaceable, kinda like Egypt

I agree with that. But I'm not mad, I'm happy there is a demo for peeps who can play it on their pc's but I am bummed I shall have to wait for the console version to come out to get play it cuz I cannot afford the cash to keep up with current gen pc games, that's why I have the consoles.

So expect u pc ****s to post spoilers like crazy wants it comes out to dry me tears and tide me over till my xbox sig edition is released! You hear me?!

Exactly. People were even saying this themselves before the demo was even confirmed, now they're acting like it's not true? Seriously?

But, oooh nooo, just because BioWare decides what they want to do with their products, people get mad, and demand that something be changed immediately.

People, calm. Down. Surely you people can be patient for ONE MORE MONTH. This thread was created in hope of this demo being confirmed, and now that it is confirmed, you hate it? Just be happy that it was confirmed, and move on, let BioWare handle their products and their company.

The demo in question is a retailer-only deal. Which means access to it needs to be restricted until the public demo comes out. Since no such restrictions can be made on Xbox Live or the PSN, logic requires that the restricted demo be either a PC-only download -for now- or it be on an actual disc. The download is just cheaper...

Which means Bioware has more money to spend on us.

So be happy! We get shiny things because of this! yay!

Again, there is NO confirmation that it is coming out only on PC. Read the small print on this website...

Haha, I like this. Strangely enough, I think it sums everything up pretty nicely.

But honestly, a big thanks to the Devs who finally said something, even if it was just to say they have nothing to say, or can't say anything... or.... yeah. It's the most back-and-forth dialogue we've had in three days of pure spectulation and confusion, so... thanks!

Surely, its somebody's job to get this info out. It sucks that it would seem it hasn't gone according to whatever plan may have been in place, but its bleeding out all over the place now and its a bit of a mess.

A clean up is needed on aisle 5.

In my estimation, there's a definite silver lining here. Yeah, we've been up and down a confusing ride today, but we will get a demo. It might even include the consoles, we don't know. I'm happy we'll get one, and we even know when we'll get it.
