We are (probably) getting a demo. A lot of people are disappointed in the way marketing was handled, but nothing can be done about that so instead I'd suggest looking forward to something better

Sure, but still, Boss Man seems kind of aloof and I'd hope Steve makes abundantly clear to Boss Man whats going on in terms of Mr. & Mrs. Consumer's expecatations and reactions.

I mean, I think you can both see that, beyond the snarkiness, what we really want at this point is the answer to 2 simple questions:

1) is there a demo which will be released to the general public on 2/23?
2) If so, will it be available on all platforms?

Don't mistake me for an internet newbie, TJPags. I've been reading this thread since it all started. I know precisely what the questions are. but a lot of this hoopla has been happening long after the office has shut down for the night. I'm finding it a welcome distraction while I'm working late tonight. John is likely posting from home, which answers a different question about whether we can access our Mod accounts from home.

I'm not taking you for a newbie, Stanley.  Not at all.  But this thread is 138 pages long (at last count, anyway . . .maybe 140 by the time I post this  ) and I'd be silly to assume you read every post.

I'm trying to clear the air here, as much as I can.  I generally appeciate the fact that you guys post here, and share what you can.  And I understand both that you are sometimes restricted in what you are allowed to say, and in what you choose to say.

That said, I appreciate you shooting off that email, and on that note, I need to be at work early tomorrow, so I will sign off and await a response (if possible) for tomorrow.

Gamestop employees get it on the 11th and as far as I can tell, it is in an effort to get them acquainted with the game to help them sell it. This has happened several times before with other developers/retailers.

Mysterious guy probably has things to consider that we may not be aware of or view differently than he does.  But in general I don't disagree.

Thanks Stanley and John for replying. Now slowly the "no demo raaaaaaaaaawrg" complaining will lessen. People should just be happy there is a demo. I'm not trying to be an apologist, but really, you got what you were looking for, how often does that happen AND it's before the release date. For a while there it didn't seem like there would be at all. Now if we can get some character vids in the next few weeks I'll be pleased as a peach!

Meh, I wouldn't discourage responding at all. However, responding confrontaionally is a probably a bad approach as that will just make it worse.

I won't discourage all response to trolls, but responding in a controntational manner is only likely to make the situation worse.

Cool a beta yea........... how can someone make a beta for something as epic as DA2. I mean after beating the beta i might slit my throat out of the sheer fact that it wasnt the entire game. To top it off the real game wont be out for another month after the beta release. This beta might be a bad idea. :0
